Nike Air More Uptempo Performance Test

Its first sale is in 1994 year, which is  the most  popular classic basketball shoes in the mid-90s.
Today we retaking about it .
For the boxes , it is nothing special . just only a big NIKE  logo on the box.
The Nike Air more Uptempo featuring the perfect balance of lifestyle suede in a tonal olive green .They are close enough to have nostalgic sneaker fiends satisfied.
For the material ,The upper utilized the  mesh material combination, olive green is not publicity, but suede's  is really hard to care , the  suede materiail  is difficult to wash .That is only the  reason  I hate it .But it is a  fashion material in the sneaker world .
Shoelace design is actually follow the Air Jordan 10 , it seems that the technology was still very useful at the time.
The shoes lace design is the same as the Air Jordan 10  .
This pair of shoes is followed  aj31 design , we can see that this technology  still used in the sneaker , but it is the  zoom air cushion is new technology and will be popular now ,  convenient, and comfortable .
The Nike Air more Uptempo followed one of the most popular releases of ’95 with the original Uptempo.
The Uptempo benefited from a truly unique 180 degree Air More unit on the heel for extra support and even included a graphic pattern inside for a twist. The upper includes lifestyle touches of suede to contrast the sports mesh throughout while an off-white Sail midsole/outsole unit adds a distinct yet clean finish.
White outsole is very nice, but easy to aging, in fact, this pair of I wear a few times,  the grip is excellent , Feeling this pattern is the most scientific compare with the Air Jordan 3.
This shoes with air more cushioning, in fact, should be air sole, then there are words on behalf of the sole technology
There are a Nike log o on the side .
The Nike Air more Uptempo featuring the perfect balance of lifestyle suede ,it is beautiful and classic one in the sneaker world . And the grip is excellent . It  is worth to buy . How do you thinking,go to newjordans2018.com

Nike Kyrie 4 Performance Reviews

The Kyrie 4 is the most well-rounded Kyrie to date.
Traction on the Kyrie 4 is comprised of multi-directional herringbone — a favorite of mine. I love when traction patterns are aggressive yet traditional; this one mixes a little bit of the old with a little bit of the new.
This type of coverage worked really well on a variety of courts and conditions. Although the outsoles started off a bit slick the first couple of nights — I think there’s some residue on the soles to start — they consistently got better with each wear. That made wiping the outsoles something that wasn’t required very often.
I still feel that the the past two Kyrie models offered a bit more bite than the Kyrie 4, but I don’t think that that’s a bad thing. This traction pattern worked really nicely without feeling like you could break your own ankles at a moment’s notice.
Cushion is the best it’s ever been in any Kyrie model with the Kyrie 4 on sale .
The heel still features a Zoom Air unit, that I felt was unnecessary for the most part as I tend to stay off my heels. However, if you happen to use your heel then coverage from the Zoom unit is there.
What I loved about the shoe is that the design team brought Cushlon back into the fold — something that I’ve been waiting on for a very long time. Not only is Cushlon used, but it makes up the entire midsole. Usually Cushlon is implemented with a Phylon carrier to the softer/bouncier foam mixture, but not this time around.
The midsole is still on the thin side (at the forefoot) so the bounce-back that Cushlon usually offers is minimized, but much like adidas’ Bounce, this setup proved to be a well balanced offering of cushioning and court feel.
If Cushlon is used on the Kyrie line from here on out then the line may go from being one of my least anticipated models of the year to one of my most anticipated models.
Like the outsole, the materials along the upper are a mix of the old and new. Engineered mesh is featured at the forefoot and that provides you with a lightweight material that requires hardly any break-in time. Nylon is glued to the underside which restricts all of the air flow, but in turn it strengthens the material.
Meanwhile, the heel panel is a suede material that, while not premium, doesn’t feel cheap at all. In fact, it only makes me scratch my head at the materials used on the Kobe AD Mid even more than I already had. For $120, the Kyrie 4 feels like it could’ve been priced at the Kobe AD Mid’s $150 (I’m glad it wasn’t though).
Prices on these shoes are still ridiculous even with basketball market sales dropping over the past couple of years. Having some of the best performers of the year being priced under $150 is great for consumers and a head scratching moment for brands because some of the $150 and up models are not as well rounded at newjordans2018.com
I suppose it can be compared a bit to the movie industry. Films with smaller budgets tend to have greater impact and story telling even though they have to stretch a limited budget. That forces creatives to be, well, creative. Nowadays, the films with massive budgets often are lackluster and filled with eye candy but not much payoff.
Durability of the rear panel has been great thus far and the durability of the mesh should be okay with the nylon glued to it. Without it I think it’d likely rip over time time as it had on the Kobe 8 after extensive use.
The shoe fits snug but true to size. Wide footers may want to consider going up 1/2 size. If you’ve worn any of the past Kyrie models, I’d highly recommend you stick with the same size you wore comfortably in those because they feel like they’re all built on the same last.
Lockdown was solid up and down. The lacing is traditional so there’s little room for error there. As stated above, the forefoot is snug, which is something I personally enjoy. I always felt secure in the shoe and never felt my foot sliding around at any time — much like my experiences in the Kyrie 1-3.
Support on the Kyrie 4 was something I had no issues with. The midsole doesn’t cradle you in the way that I personally prefer (like a Dame 4 or Curry 4 or new jordans 2018) but the rubber outsole’s exaggerated “teeth” offer a similar feel. The teeth wrap up and around the forefoot to stabilize the Cushlon a bit while also slightly caging the forefoot.
You can’t see it, but the Kyrie 4 has an internal heel counter at the rear. It isn’t quite as strong as something like external TPU or carbon fiber, but it more than gets the job done and ensures your heel remains atop the footbed without sliding over.
There isn’t a traditional outrigger in place, but the midsole up front is wide and sits low. The way it’s sculpted also acts as like an outrigger, which is a huge bonus.
Overall, the Nike Kyrie 4 is Nike’s best performer this year. Its very well-rounded on all fronts in a way that makes the Kyrie 4 more like a Hyperdunk. There’s just enough cushion for most, solid traction, fantastic fit and adequate support — and all of comes at a “team” friendly price point of $120.
I’m not a huge fan of the Kyrie line overall but if this is the direction Nike plans on going with the line then may change. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved aspects of the past models, especially the traction, but the brick-like Phylon has been anything but forgiving. Even the Curry 4’s foam midsole is more forgiving than the Phylon used on past Kyries, so the return of Cushlon was a great choice to bring a bit more balance to the low profile tooling.
I don’t believe I’ve said this all year, because it hadn’t been deserved, but great job Nike Basketball . This is the kind of shoe that I’ve been waiting for all year

Kyrie Irving With Benjamin Designer talk about the Nike Kyrie 4

Benjamin Nethongkome who has taken over as designer of Irving’s latest signature line. The Nike Kyrie 4 will first release in the ‘Confetti’ colorway this Saturday, December 16th. Following the Black and White edition debuts on December 20th.
Nethongkome and Irving first met on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, during a meeting to firm up release plans for the KYRIE 3. During the session, Nethongkome was announced as the future lead for the line, a major career step and one that wasn’t without chills.
Nike Kyrie 4 Sketch
Nethongkome’s ideas for the Nike Kyrie 4, which are based on Irving’s desire to improve underfoot cushioning (solved with the application of Cushion midsole Zoom Air heel unit) while simultaneously making him quicker on the corner, are most overtly realized in the outsole’s zig-zag flex grove. Effectively decoupling the sole, this feature enhances traction and response from side to side, forming more seamless transitions. Once again, the outsole wraps up and around the foot, this time forming a fanged sidewall that emphasizes that the shoe was built for speed.
Secondarily, the material choices and blocking are influenced by Irving’s interest in vintage Nike and Jordan silhouettes — a passion shared with Nethongkome.
Nike Kyrie 4 Sketch Technology
The Nike Kyrie 4’s blocking follows suit. The forefoot is built of a zonally engineered mesh, an upgrade from previous KYRIE silhouettes and one that provides both containment and a softer feel. The transition to the heel introduces more classic materials — many versions of the KYRIE 4 will carry a suede or leather — which not only feel great but offer opportunity against a new challenge: how people watch the game today.
Nike Kyrie 4 Confetti
Irving carries around a piece of confetti from the last game of the 2017 NBA Finals as a constant reminder of how it felt to fall short of victory. The Confetti colorway honors Kyrie’s win-or-learn mentality.
The Nike Kyrie 4 ‘Confetti’ releases on December 16th at select Nike Basketball retailers including Nike.com. They will also be available at House of Hoops locations in Boston, Cambridge, Harlem and Wayne, New Jersey as Irving laces up when the Celtics play the Jazz in Boston at 7:30 pm EST.
Nike Kyrie 4 Black White
The Nike Kyrie 4 Black White will release on December 20th at Nike Basketball retailers including online at Nike.com. Retail price will be $120.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” Performance Test

Foamposite fans, get ready for 2017. Eric Avar’s legendary design, one that still looks futuristic even by today’s standards, will be celebrating its 20th anniversary at the turn of the year with a number of new and original colorways holding down the upcoming release slate. Now we have word that the
A movie with Doom returning to his land an adult after a life wandering the world from as young an age as possible seeking education in the arts and sciences he knew he would need to master for the path he had chosen to take.Without doubt , Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” is popular then the movies .The fan-favorite Nike Foamposite Pro Dr Doom will feature that legendary high-contrast black and white colorway in honor of the super villain given that it was once a part of a Nike Sportswear “Fantastic Four” Pack.
The clean white Swoosh stands in direct contrast with the matte black Foamposite upper while a white lining matches the bottom.
The colorway does not really feel how "evil" which clean black and white , but we feel a bit fresh, armor-like dark metal texture
In addition to the upper, the most attractive is the carbon plate in  the middle .we can not tireless enjoy it .
The  most special design is bottom of Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” , Forefoot is divided into four oval-shaped word pattern,  to ensure non-slip when play on-court . but I prefer the tongue part which "Penny" logo replaced " AIR " with black and white in middle . The only regret is that there is no doctor's logo.
The logo of heel which white and huge , obviously , it is look great . And I prefer the fashion design which simply but gorgeous . Not only the brand effection .
All of the shape of  basketball shoes are Streamline sense. The pull-up with “FOAMPOSITE”also a special design that win more fans .
Overall , the full length Zoom , fashion and clean design was win more fans ,  The black  with white colorway seems a sense of super villain

Nike Kyrie 2 performance reviews

With Kobe retiring, someone has to take over the winter signature release for Nike. Why not Kyrie? After the success of the 1 last year, the 2 was one of the most anticipated shoes for this season.
Just watching NBA games this season, it seems like half of Nike’s roster was wearing the Kyrie, so something must have been done right (I reviewed them here, and it was an alright shoe, nothing special). For an entry shoe, it was an impressive debut. Compared to shoes like the Curry, Rose 5, Lebron 15, and even the HyperRev 2015, it was a step behind (in my opinion).
Now, the 2. New and improved. Better materials. Better traction. Better fit. No, really, all of those are better. But don’t take my word for it — just watch this video about the shoe and read along below.
MATERIALS – Last year we got first generation Hyperfuse, and it was stiff and hard from the box. Again, entry level. This year we get an upgrade of the same Fuse material — not as stiff or hard. Actually, I thought the line between support and flex was walked proper — stiff enough to hold but still thin enough to not overwork the forefoot when running.
The heel is a fantastic Lycra/mesh wrap that fits perfect around the ankle; I wish the WHOLE shoe was out of this material. It had a little Speedform feel to it but more padded. Thick ankle strap to pull the foot into the shoe. The sole is a one-piece rubber and thick but soft. One touch I like is the added leather/synthetic on the tongue, heel Swoosh, and ankle strap Swoosh. Little lux things.
FIT – Simply put, one of the best fitting shoes I have ever worn. It’s funny, the last few shoes I have reviewed have had one category that the shoe really excels in. Either I’m getting soft or the companies are focusing efforts to fix problems. Either way, the narrow forefoot and harsh break in time from the 1 are a memory.
The 2 is cut slightly wider but still snug without over-tightening. In the forefoot the laces are off-set but not quite asymmetrical. That looks really cool but I’m not sure of the benefits. Midfoot and heel are tied in together thanks to the strap.
The STRAP. Not the KD10, but the Kyrie 4 . I hated playing in the KD 10 because of the strap. The Kyrie is WAAAAY better. Simply pull and close. The placement pulls the heel and ankle straight into the heel counter and with the higher lace holes and ankle cut, you are locked like Oz. The fabric heel allows for all the right moves without too much dance. I know I sound like an echo, but honestly, NO SUDDEN MOVEMENTS. The fit is the best I have tried in 2015. It would have won the category if I had them sooner.

TRACTION – OOOOOOOOOOOOOO-WHEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Gimmick or not, traction works. And since they are so closely tied together in this shoe, we will get into transition also. The outsole of the Kyrie 2 is made on a motorcycle tire design — specifically, the drifting tires — the treads go up the sidewalls for tight cornering and quick changes in direction. Kyrie is quick and makes changes in his direction, well, quickly. See the pattern? Last year’s herringbone was too tight and a little dust had you sliding. The circular Aztec crop circles this year grip in every way like Kung Fu Joe. The grooves are wide, rubber is soft, and the outsole touches the floor in every direction unless you go Turtle ston your shell.
I did find the curved sole a little, well, unstable at first for shooting, but getting into movements the roll and traction pushed my foot into moves. I push hard off my medial forefoot, especially going left off of my right foot. A squared shoe would slide. A rounded shoe pushes and catches (don’t think this is new — another company tried this in the mid-90’s, Feet You Wear, and it worked then too). The thing is, they aren’t over-sticky, which sounds really funny, but sometimes a shoe sticks and won’t let go. The shape and sculpting are made for transition and movement and after three games I was in sprint mode. Smooth and low-riding, the Kyrie 2 is made for open court play.

CUSHIONING – And then there was none. As good as fit and traction were, cushioning was the complete opposite of that. And again, not a new concept: the cushioning in the old FYW shoes sucked too. The idea is low, responsive, and quick; mushy, sinking foam is the last thing you want or need.
But we are 20 years removed from that era — surely by now a way of incorporating some sort of padding for landings, especially with the dynamic guards in the league and colleges. Guards are rebounders, dunkers, shot-blockers, not ground-bound Steve Nash’s anymore. A Lunar insert, dual fusion, anything (rectangle Zoom would kill the rounded forefoot)! There is a Poron insert, but Poron is basically a foam overlay that will bottom out. Heel is Phylon and a rectangle Zoom, but I dare you to tell me you feel the Zoom. You’re a LIAR!!! The Phylon never broke in during testing so no heel give. Think Rose 1 from adidas — if you liked that court feel and cushioning, you will be right at home in the Kyrie 2.

SUPPORT/STABILITY – I changed out of the Kyrie 2 ten minutes into my first wear. The forefoot bubble was too much. I was coming off picks and stopping for pull-ups and feeling like my feet were wobbly, my ankles were moving. The next day, I went and shot for an hour and a half — drills, stations, jumpers, chair picks — and I worked my way into them. After that session I played five games of full and never had a problem again. The shoe is different. Very different. But different is not bad. If you can get past the initial feel, you will get a quick, biting shoe. The sole is wider than the upper, especially on the lateral side, so ankle rolls should not be a problem. Not a large outrigger that feels clunky, but a molded and formed edge for transition. The strap is the tool and with the added lock in provided you have no issues with heel slip or instability from fit.

OVERALL – Foot rocket. Fast. Quick. Traction. Cornering. All of these things make the Kyrie 2 what it is. If you are a quick, fast, light guard who blows by everyone and crosses over without slowing down, you NEED to get a pair of Kyrie 2’s. If you are like me — knees are going from court years — and need cushioning, keep moving. Once a week, maybe two weeks, and you could play in these. Every day, it is just too harsh. I love the looks and the direction, but I can’t wear them too often. That said, I will be all in on the 3 next winter. If the improvements from the 1 to the 2 look like this, the 3 is destiny. Just hope they stay away from those Kobe prices at the newjordans2018.com

adidas Ultra Boost Performance Review

“Best Run Ever”. Tagline for the new adidas Ultra Boost, as put out by adidas Running. I have heard some outrageous claims in my life, but basically saying you have created he “best running shoe ever” is pretty large. But is it false? I know – we should find out!!!!
Materials– We start here because it was the first thing I noticed. Upper is PrimeKnit, and it feels completely different from the PrimeKnit Boost from last summer. For one, it is more forgiving, meaning it stretches and flexes more. Last year the PrimeKnit wasn’t rigid, but it was more structured. This version feels like a padded sock, which, think about it, feels pretty good. There are some tighter weaves in high-stress areas, such as around the toe box, which is what makes these weaves and knits so amazing – they can be woven for specific uses, becoming flexible when needed and loose and comfy in other areas. I know I stay ranting on leather uppers for basketball, but mesh and knits in running just make sense.

Cushioning –Of course the next thing we have to hit is the adidas ultra 3.0 Boost midsole. If you haven’t tried Boost, stop reading this right now, go to the nearest shoe store, find a pair, and get them on feet. See if I don’t preach the truth – Boost is the best foam cushioning in running right now. Hands down. IT is responsive, protective, consistent (same front to back and day after day) and durable. Like 3000 tiny little toe pillows, the pebbles compress and spring right back, giving a sensory feedback that your foot is being pushed into running. They sink in and push back and do it all again on the next step. As for durability, I have only had these about three weeks, but the Energy Boost I got last February still feel like new. Boost just lasts. It’s good.

Support –Here is where the shoe should be failing. Primeknit can’t possibly be supportive – it’s only yarn!!! And you would be correct, except for that big, split, purple heel counter and that black support cage around the midfoot. The cage I could take or leave. It did add a more secure and snug fit to the upper, but the upper is spandex and knit – it already fit great. If a way could be found to just lace up tight without the cage it could go away completely. The heel counter, however, is a thing of beauty. Matte finish and gold lettering, it is split in the back because, let’s face it, no one has ever rolled an ankle backwards. Cuts down a little weight, looks cool as he!!, and ties into the midfoot to secure the fit and hold it together. I wore these for running, both road and treadmill, and some crossfit and weight workouts, and the support was substantial enough to get me through. I won’t say they are cross-trainers – they aren’t going to hold up to lateral training you would find in basketball or football, but for normal gym workouts you should be okay.

Transition –I always feel weird doing a “traction” section in a running review, so we will call it “transition” – how did the shoe feel while moving. I love shoes that have one cushioning system – ClutchFit Drive and Micro G, full foot Zoom in Lebron 15, full Boost in the Ultra. The shoe just feels smooth and effortless – you don’t get that slappy feel as the shoe moves from one system or element to the other. The Ultra falls into the smooth category. The rocker toe (it is bent upward) coupled with the Boost and the Torsion system make the next step as easy as the first. I am normally a heel striker, but found myself running on forefoot and midfoot more in the Ultra, especially the midfoot. And I usually need some support as I pronate, but the neutral support of the Ultra felt good straight away. I was wondering about the outsole and its resemblance to the Pure Boost, which is NOT meant for running, and was told the rubber is spaced in this pattern to allow the Boost to expand as it compresses with no restriction. Seems to work so far. As for wear, some of the   nubs in the midfoot have began flattening after 50 miles or so, but no noticeable wearing or breaking down.

Overall –adidas nailed the cushioning innovation two years ago when it introduced Boost and it just gets better with every release. This is my seventh pair of Boost shoes and only one has disappointed (but not because of the Boost — lack of Boost, yes). Price may be a deal-breaker for some, as they will release February 11 for $180. You can find Boost shoes for cheaper, and they are all monsters. If price is no object,  and if you need a neutral, highly cushioned, responsive, well-fitting shoe, the Ultra is for you. Seeing what adidas is doing in the running category only gets me more excited about the basketball direction. Until then, I guess I will have to run more at newjordans2018.com

Nike Kyrie 1 Performance Review

Traction – There has been many varying opinions on the Kyrie 1’s traction, and I don’t think any of them have been wrong. I’d say under the right conditions, the traction is excellent. I’ve experienced nothing but great traction out of them, but all of the floors I played on – while not always clean – are well maintained in terms of having been refinished once a year. If you play on a court that could used some refinishing then I think that’s where people run into problems…especially when dust is present. I will say that I did need to wipe the soles every so often, but not to the point to where I felt the traction was anything less than stellar. Now… if only the rest of the shoe was as good.
Cushion – Nike Kryie is a rectangle shaped Zoom Air unit located in the forefoot, and its about 8-10mm thick which is great, but its encased in Phylon that becomes pretty damn dense. My first night of playing in them I thought the cushion was decent, but the more I played in them the quicker the Phylon began to break down and become a solid piece of foam. The lines or grooves that are in place help with creating some compression once this happens, but once all the tiny little air pockets within the foam midsole are gone… the shoe winds up feeling like dead weight. Not heavy dead weight… just lifeless. Like most aspects, there is a positive side to this affect… you have nice court feel and increased reaction time… but my knees and lower back never enjoyed the experience the following day.
Materials – If you guys checked out my nike kryie 3 performance review then you already know whats up with these. Textile mesh, glued to Hyperfuse… and thats pretty much it. I will say that I liked the forefoot on these once broken-in due to the fact that Nike used a nice neoprene layer under the textile mesh. This is the one area where fuse is hardly present, only on the toe rand and thats for protection of the materials underneath. This type of setup definitely gets the job done, but as I’ve said before… you either love Fuse or you hate Fuse… and I’m just not a big fan of it.
Fit – The fit is incredibly awkward. I honestly can’t tell you how they fit… this is a shoe that you’re just going to have to try on – I did go with my regular size if anyone is wondering. They run pretty narrow, and you’re going to need to constantly adjust the laces in order to make them comfortable, but once they break-in they aren’t too bad. They kind of remind me of the KD 5 in that sense. That was a Nike kryie 1 dream shoes I really didn’t like in the beginning but grew to enjoy the more I played in them. Same thing goes here… if you give them enough time, then you’ll likely enjoy them more and more. If you’re looking for something that’s ready to go straight out the box… keep looking.
Support – In terms of lockdown and support… they were okay at best. The heel isn’t incredibly supportive while the fit has its issues, preventing perfect lockdown. I also had to lace these all the way to the top otherwise my heel felt like it was going to pop out of the shoe. There’s also an internal support bar for torsional support – the same feature you see on most of Nike’s models without a formal shank plate. Other than newjordans2018.com… they weren’t too impressive.

Do the stores know what product they have in stock?
Everyone on the store level at Marshalls is there to make sure the goods get out on the floor. The employees might be individually aware of certain products, but they’re not aware of how the system allocates the goods. The system they use is made to be autonomous. They put everything on the floor. There’s no backstock, there’s no way to know if there’s a different size at another store.
How did the Fragment x Air Jordan 1s end up in a Marshalls?
If I had to guess, it was probably a late shipment. They’re not B grades. They’re not fakes. It’s all A-grade stuff. It’s all made to sell in stores. It was either a late shipment or a lost container that they found later on. A store might not have been up to pick up their order. Stores have to pay for the sneakers within 30 days of getting them. If something’s past due, their order might still be in the warehouse, and it becomes part of the bulk buy from Marshalls.
The sneaker is coming back in 2017 via a restock through End Clothing, which held back stock from its original launch to make the model's return possible on newjordans2018.com

Concord 11s and Game Royal 1s Are Returning In 2018

1."Concord" Air Jordan 11 retail 2018 at $220.
following initial rumblings a few months back, the fan favorite "Concord" Air Jordan 11 looks like it is going to be one of next year's annual holiday releases.
According to leakers such as soleheatonfeet, the "Concord" 11 will make its return around October or November 2018. Expect this classic black and white colorway of MJ's eleventh signature model to feature a remastered construction with a higher cut of patent leather like has been seen on other recent Retro 11 releases. Other possibilities for this release could be a swap of the "23" on the back heel for a "45" to match Jordan's 1995 PE   a detail that would certainly be welcomed by Jordan Brand fanatics.
No official word on pricing as of yet, but expect the new jordans 2018 "Concord" Air Jordan 11 to retail at $220.
Note: The pair pictured is the retro release from 2011, not the upcoming 2018 pair.
2.Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Game Royal"
Older sneakerheads may remember this upcoming colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro from a questionable "sample" photo that used to make rounds on forums like ISS and basketball shoes . The colorway will soon become the real deal, with an expected early-2018 launch on the horizon.
Essentially a blue-based "Chicago" colorway, retro sports a palette of Game Royal, white and black. OG designation is there, meaning Nike Air branding will be featured on the tongue.
The "Game Royal" Jordan 1 will release in Feb. 2018 for $160. Keep it locked for and more no newjordans2018.com

adidas D Rose 8 performance reviews

Traction      I wish I could say the traction on the D Rose 8 was as beastly as it was on the D Rose 6 or 7 but it just wasn’t. That was a letdown because traction has always been a strong attribute in the D Rose line. As a player that relied on his speed and agility he needed a shoe that would be able to keep up with him from the ground up.
Some people may say that Rose’s declining health doesn’t require amazing traction or  that adidas has simply given up on Rose and his signature shoe. However, I don’t believe that is the case. Making up excuses for brands isn’t something we do here. adidas designed and released a shoe that doesn’t offer the same level of bite previous versions had, simple as that.
Do I feel the translucent rubber was the cause? No, not this time. It felt like the pattern was the actual issue because it’s aggressive, but it’s also flat. Flat traction rarely works well on all surfaces unless its comprised of some heavy duty rubber.
The rubber used on the Rose 8 is the same tacky stuff that adidas has been using on previous models — all of which have excelled in performance due to the compound and the pattern. This time around, only the rubber compound excelled while the pattern left a little to be desired. It worked really well when it worked and not so well when it didn’t.
Cushion /// Boost is used on the D Rose 8 and it’s the same exact Boost slab we saw used on the Crazy Light 2016 — which is great. (The Crazy Light 2016’s Boost midsole is my favorite that adidas has offered thus far.) While I enjoyed the low profile setup on the Harden Vol 1 and the plush setup on the Crazy Explosive, there is something about the Crazy Light 2016’s midsole that just feels like its the perfect blend of both.
No, there isn’t that jump out of the gym feeling when wearing them, but you can definitely tell that it’s Boost and that this isn’t just some basic cushion system. It’s top tier cushion in terms of impact protection and it doesn’t sacrifice stability or much court feel.
adidas opted to cage the lateral forefoot with a rubber panel, and just like the Crazy Light 2016, this proved to be a great addition to the midsole because it ensures its lateral stability despite its restriction on that Boost-y feeling. I actually prefer the way this cage played more than the D Rose 7’s forefoot cage, which was the actual outsole wrapping up and around the Boost. On the Rose 8 it felt more fluid and less restrictive but still stable.
If you want a little bit of everything out of your cushion then this might be the setup you’ve been waiting for.
Materials When I mentioned this on Instagram there were some people that took this as a dig on the entire shoe and got a little defensive, even though those people likely didn’t have the shoe themselves, nor did they intend on buying a pair to try out. The D Rose 8 has the worst materials used on a basketball shoe in 2017 other than the Nike Kobe AD Mid.
Now that I’ve said that, the materials worked. So, while I don’t like the materials that were chosen after receiving the D Rose 6 and 7 in wonderful Primeknit variations, they still played well.
The forefoot is primarily mesh with foam acting as the structure. It isn’t anything new but it allowed for a lot of mobility and flexibility in the forefoot area, which is great. But, and there’s always a but, the material choice allowed for the forefoot section to feel like it sat above your foot rather than resting on your foot. This left a lot of dead space in the toebox and if it wasn’t for the plastic rear section of the shoe that has little to no give to it, the overall fit could have been very sloppy. Ventilation was great though, for those wondering.
Now, about that rear section of the upper. Well, that felt like it was ripped right out of 2010 and brought back into the future. We still see fuse used a lot on footwear, but nowadays it’s much more strategically placed; it’s mostly used to merge panels without the use of stitching, or it’s used as a thin overlay to protect high-wear areas and stress zones.
Luckily, this section does break-in and offer a very nice fit — it saved the forefoot from feeling sloppy as hell — so it isn’t a loss. It worked really well on-court, it just isn’t what I like.
Fit Like most adidas models, the shoe doesn’t run perfectly true to size. I went true to size due to the rigid heel and the way it’s sculpted and that worked out for me. If possible, try on the shoe before purchasing, and I’d say that wide footers will likely be okay going true to size with the volume within the toe.
Lockdown, in the midfoot and heel, was fantastic in the D Rose 8. The materials might not be what I like, but as I said above, it worked — and it worked well. This section of the shoe felt like it was a built-in ankle brace without limiting mobility.
Once laced up I felt secure and that is exactly what a wearer would want. If using these materials was the only way adidas could have achieved this type of rear fit then I’d willingly make the sacrifice because it’s a trade that is well worth it.
Support The adidas D Rose 8 has all the support features that you’ve come expect in jordan release date 2018. The heel counter keeps your heel on the footbed and your ankle stable and safe. Remember, real ankle support isn’t collar height, it’s all about heel lockdown and containment.
We’ve seen the same torsional plate used on the Crazy Light 2016; it worked well on that shoe and it works well on the D Rose 8 as well. Stability is also on-point with the wider forefoot and lateral cage around the Boost. Then you have the upper. Yes, fuse is plastic and its a cheap stiff material. However, it does have its benefits and for that it’ll get a pass — although leather could have done the same thing and felt a lot better, just saying.
Overall The adidas D Rose 8 is a very solid shoe. I just don’t think it was as solid as the 6 or 7 in the Primeknit options. I’m still holding out hope that we’ll see a Primeknit edition of the D Rose 8, but I won’t be surprised if we don’t see one at all.
Traction is my main gripe with the Rose 8. I understand wanting to try something new, but adidas knows better. We don’t need funny looking patterns that tell stories. Just give us aggressive herringbone that works. On the bright side, everything from the midsole up worked really well and I would recommend the Rose 8 when it goes on newjordans2018.com sale.

Nike LeBron 15 “Ashes” Performance Review

After weeks of testing, the Nike LeBron 15 Ashes Performance Review is here.
Traction was solid for the most part. You can feel the triangle pattern bite and grip the court really well from a linear standpoint. Unfortunately, laterally I can’t say the same. The way the pattern is implemented seems to be straight across the surface. If some portions of the pattern were turned a bit I feel lateral coverage would’ve had that same bite that it offers linearly.
While I did play in a pair (for a very short time) that featured clear soles, the court I had played on was one of the most pristine surfaces I’ve had the pleasure of encountering. To be safe, rather than sorry, I’d opt for solid rubber. I know there are some killer colorways releasing that use translucent rubber that will be more enticing than some of the offerings that use solid rubber, but (there’s always a but) just keep in mind that if my pair with solid rubber didn’t offer as much bite laterally as it could have, imagine what it’d be like on a “normal” surface and the translucent rubber outsole.
I would not recommend playing in the LeBron 15 Ashes outdoors. Exposed Air units almost always pop once the outsole grinds down to the cushion’s surface and the rubber used here is soft, so it’ll likely happen sooner rather than later.
Beast mode! If you’re a cushion-above-all-else type of player then you’ll love these. The bounce and feedback felt from the Zoom units is incredible. This isn’t the first time this type of cushion has been utilized in a LeBron model (the last time was the LeBron 10) but articulation is present this time around so overall mobility has greatly increased.
Is the setup perfect? While it’s as close as it’s ever been, it still has some issues. Lateral stability — while a bit better than the LBJ10 due to wrapping the front portion of the Air unit in Phylon — could benefit from the implementation of an actual outrigger. I’m not sure why there isn’t a true outrigger on a shoe that rides on a platform made of Air, but that’s what we’ve got to work with here.
If you’re a linear player, like LeBron, then you shouldn’t have many issues with stability and support. However, if you move laterally often then you’ll likely feel the instability and it’ll hinder your on court performance. It caused me to hesitate instead of moving as I normally would around the court.
I believe the tooling could be the cause of LeBron’s recent ankle issues. While he usually sprints from one end of the floor to the other, there are times when he’ll move laterally. The tippy nature of the LeBron 15s tooling will be loud and clear when someone moves laterally in them — and you can see LeBron’s body jerk a bit to recover.
A wider setup or a larger outrigger could likely resolve the issues I’ve been experiencing. I hope we see something on the LeBron 16 that adds lateral stability while retaining all of the awesomeness that is Max Zoom Air.
Battleknit is used here (aka really thick Flyknit) and it feels awesome on-foot. If you were unimpressed with the stiff upper used on the new jordans 2018 and the cheap but soft materials used on the LeBron 14, you may find that the material choice on the LeBron 15 Ashes offers a happy balance between the two.
Some areas of the knit are thicker than others while high wear areas are glued a bit for durability. Once on-foot I felt comfortable and secure, and if you’ve worn Flyknit hoop shoes before you’ll feel the evolution throughout the years.
I went down half size from my true size in the LeBron 15 Ashes due to the materials and build of the upper. One piece uppers can be tricky to get just right and I’d rather have them be a little snug than a bit too loose — especially with the tooling setup the way it is. Trying them on in-store is the best option, and make sure to bring your brace or orthotics with you to ensure everything works.
Lockdown was surprisingly nice from heel to toe. While the lacing structure relies solely on Flywire, it did its job rather well. The top “eyelet” or Flywire cable draws the heel into the rear section of the shoe nicely while additional heel padding takes care of the rest.
Once you’re in the LeBron 15 and laced up, especially if you opt for going down half size, you’ll be locked in and ready to go.
Support in the LeBron 15 is a bit lackluster due to the tooling setup. Traditional support features like a torsional midfoot shank and TPU heel counter are all in place and work well. Hwoever, the midsole and outsole lack a wide enough base and it really hurt the lateral stability and overall support. Again, if you’re a linear player then you should be fine. If you move around laterally then you may have the same experience I had in them.
I love pieces of the LeBron 15 Ashes . Materials and fit are highlights, and the cushion is the best Nike has offered in years. Stability made them a bit concerning for me while on the floor and I never ended up feeling as comfortable as I wanted to be.
If you’re willing to sacrifice lateral stability in lieu of cushion then you’ll enjoy the LeBron 15 Ashes immensely. If you’re a low profile player that roams the floor and curls off screens to get an open look at the basket then you may want something a bit different go to newjordans2018.com
