2.Brown Leather Air Jordan 9 Baseball Glove retailers on 2018
Air Jordan 9 Brown Leather Baseball Glove is apart of a new pack from Jordan Brand which will release alongside the Black edition. Michael Jordan had a short stint in baseball playing for the Birmingham Barons and the Brand continues to pay homage to his legacy in the sport.
This Air Jordan 9 is similar to that of the previous baseball inspired release which will feature the number 35 on the heel, woven lacing on the panels and heel just like a baseball glove and raw finished laces. Making this pair different is Brown leather used across the uppers. Completing the look is a White midsole, Jumpman branding and striped insole.
Here is where things get interesting. Rumor has it that each pair you purchase will be wrapped in plastic, similar to that of baseball cards. You won’t know which pair you will get until you actually open the packaging. This could also lead to be trading just like back in the days with baseball cards.

Jordan Brand Released the Air Jordan 11 ‘Win Like 96’ with Santa Claus

Jordan Brand will officially release the Air Jordan 11 ‘Win Like 96’ on December 9th. However Jordan Brand sold pairs early via Nike SNKRS which gave many the chance to get them without hassle.
During 1996, Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls took on the Seattle Supersonics, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic and New York Knicks. Paying tribute, Jordan Brand dressed up as Santa Claus in those cities while wearing the Air Jordan 11s at malls to sell the shoes.
This release pays homage to Michael Jordan’s time with the Chicago Bulls and their iconic record.
this Air Jordan 11 comes dressed in a Gym Red, White and Black color combination. The entire uppers are dressed in Red which includes the leather, mesh and patent leather. Following we have Black on the Jumpman and on the heel. Other details includes White on the midsole and a translucent outsole.
The Air Jordan 11 Win Like 96 is set to release at select Jordan Brand retailers including online at Nike.com or newjordans2018.com in full family sizing on December 9th, 2017.
Not only did Santa Claus wear the this Air Jordan 11 , but he sat in front of a huge Air Jordan 11 box. At the locations there were cards that featured an image to unlock the shoes via the SNKRS App’s camera. If you didn’t attend the event and you had access to the image, you could still unlock the shoes at home.

Nike Zoom KD 10 Performance Reviews

Now, the KD 10 is here, and with some tweaks and turns, it looks like Nike Basketball addressed some issues the KD 9 had. Or did it? Let’s go…
It’s no secret to kd10sale.com readers and followers that the KD 9 was a favorite on this site in 2016. One of our reviewers actually picked it as the number one performer. Yes, there seemed to be some issues with the bridge between the Zoom units under the toes, bags have popped, and outsoles peeled off. But for pure performance, it was a tough shoe to beat.
With this model of the KD 10 we get a circular pattern based on the impact points of the foot. Nike has loved the circle as a pattern, dating back to the Air Force I/Jordan I days, and when done right, it works. The KD 10 was close, so close.
I never experienced any straight slipping in moves or game play, but there wasn’t a bite — that point when your foot just grabs and stops during a change of direction or cutting. The Curry 3 was this way too; it stopped well, but it was a smooth stop and not a toe-jamming brake job.
On offense, moving toward the basket, there was no delay or problems. Running off cuts or in defensive stance felt a little slow because I was making sure the grip was there. I prefer a traction that stops on a dime and allows complete confidence in staying in front in defense and not slipping out on crossovers (kind of like Kyrie – I said kind of), but if your game is more KD — pull ups, step backs, straight ahead drives — the KD 10 should work fine, which makes sense, since the shoe is his.
Oh yeah, this colorway features translucent rubber. Translucent isn’t always a bad thing, but it does tend to be softer than solid rubber. Same here, because I would not recommend these for rough courts. The outsole is soft and will wear down, leaving you literally playing on Air.
The best thing about the last three KD models? Lovely, segmented, full-length Max Zoom Air. Not much changed from the 9, so here goes: this is the way Zoom should feel, all day, every day. Some shoes aren’t built to handle this much Air, but oh well. Controlled bounce is the accurate description — for the KD 9. The KD 10? The bounce went away.
Don’t get frowny-faced because the impact protection is still there and works great, the transition is still smooth and flows, and the response is quick. It just doesn’t have that springy feel of the 9, which for some also brought a feeling of instability. With that bounce lessened, the KD 10 is a much more stable ride, especially in the forefoot. Impact protection, for that reason, may even be a little better in the KD 10, with that added stability making off-balance landings feel a little safer underfoot. Overall, bad knees, bad ankles, bad back — nothing was hurting after playing four to five full court games a day, but that special bounce was missed.
Flyknit — everywhere you look, everywhere you feel, the KD 10 is covered in Flyknit, except at the heel straps. Soft, pliable, comfy, and form-fitting, the upper of the KD is what the future of Flyknit in basketball should be, with one slight change.
The knit in high-stress areas should be a little tighter, especially with a lacing system like the 10, to help with lateral stability and support (more on that later). The tongue area is a stretchier knit pattern, letting even semi-wide footers enjoy the shoe (really wide are out of luck here). No nylon backing in the forefoot, no mesh areas around the heel, just pure, unadulterated, lovely yarn.
Thick sculpted padding rounds out the inside of the heel area to keep the lockdown going and provides a nice and soft alternative to the heel counter rubbing through the ‘Knit. Overall, this is the best use of Flyknit in basketball Shoes, ever.
The heel area takes it back to the old school with a sueded strap wrapping up over the last loop, tying the heel and foot into the shoe with a little more stiffness and stability. It isn’t crazy structured, it’s just enough to feel a little more secure. One note: the Swoosh has been coming off of some pairs, mine included, so maybe wait until later colorways to see if that is fixed.
The one area that is, without a doubt, vastly improved from the KD 9 is the fit. The 9 was a slim water ski with laces and it seemed to be the main debatable point of any shoe last year. Even us WearTesters had some issues with trying to recommend sizing (some stayed true, some went up a half size, some went down a half size). The KD 10 widens the last in the forefoot, and by using softer Flyknit, the shoe is easier to get on and wear for all foot shapes.
The containment is not as strong due to these factors, but the rope lacing tries hard to bridge the gap. Extremely wide-footers will probably still have not get an invitation to the party, but normal width people will wear pointy hats and eat cake.
The fit in the rest of the shoe is almost perfect. The lacing system really does pull the shoe tight, but watch out — too tight and the pain is real, especially in the arch area. The straps pull up from the midsole and cut right into the foot, so after a couple of games you will feel some hurt in that area. No worries, loosen them up and go. The KD 10, much like the KD 9, doesn’t need to be laced straight-jacket tight to achieve lockdown. The heel has a thick area of padding just below the top line of the ankle, wrapping the foot in and stopping any sliding up and down.
As for length, again, I like about a thumb’s width at the end of my shoes (about a half-inch), and TTS fit me perfect. A half-size down, with the softer toebox, would work great if you want no room in the end, but the reports of a whole size down? Crazy. Stay TTS or at the most half down.
Well, the cushioning is fantastic. However, the support is adequate. There are no serious structures to prevent rollover, no straps or chains or bridge cables, just a good fit, wide base, and solid heel counter.
If you get the right size then support will get you through your games just fine, unless you have some ailments that require more. The Zoom being less bouncy definitely makes landings more stable — off-center rebounds were held up and pushed back upright, while lateral movements were smoother without the Zoom deforming as much and rebounding.
The midfoot arch area is slightly higher than a normal shoe but not so much to cause pain; it’s just enough to keep your foot from pronating and hurting yourself. The heel counter is real, and the lacing system coupled with the heel saddle (the suede part) pull you into the shoe and give the KD 10 a feeling of riding lower than it does.
The one thing the KD10 needs is the midsole sidewalls to come up over the foot a bit. The knit is just too soft for proper containment from the upper, and the laces are strong, but if the midsole wrapped up along the sides to give the foot a starting block man, that would be golden.
This is tough. There were such minor changes to my favorite shoe of 2016, but those changes affected the play in a major way. The Zoom is toned down, for good and bad. The materials are definitely improved, unless you like a tighter knit for containment. The looks — let’s face it, this is a beautiful shoe. But the traction slid a little (see it?) and the overall playability seemed a step back from the KD 9.
If you enjoyed the 9, definitely try the 10, because it is an incredibly responsive and cushioned ride that uses Flyknit like it should be used, with a great fit to boot. If you are a super-quick guard that needs killer traction, well, it might work for you, but if it doesn’t, we told you so. If you are a player like KD — smooth, scoring from anywhere, can D up positions 1-5, the KD 10 could be perfect.
Overall, the small changes are appreciated. Too many times we have seen a great technology, like the segmented Zoom here, be used for a year or season and get scrapped. This stuff is magic, once they get the bridge tearing problem fixed. Remember — evolution, not revolution. And on KD’s feet, it will be televised on kd10sale.com

Under Armour Curry 3 performance review

Finally, my Under Armour Curry 3 performance review. Consistency is key…
Traction – Herringbone is utilized once again, and like the Curry shoes models that have come before the 3, traction is beastly. The pattern on the Curry 2 was a bit more aggressive than what is used on the 3, but the rubber compound on the 3 is much more tacky in comparison. With the rubber compound changed, I’d give a slight edge to the Curry 3 overall in terms of grip.
This same thing happened on the Nike Kobe Mentality line; the traction on the Mentality 1 and 2 did not change at all. However, the performance was greater in the 2 due to the rubber compound switch up.
The rubber used is pretty firm so the Curry 3 would be a viable option outdoors. The grooves are shallow, so that’s something to keep in mind, but if you’re looking for performance over longevity then these should suit you.
Cushion – Charged is used once again, and it’s pretty firm. There is an Ortholite insole which aids in step-in comfort, but that comfort quickly dissipates once you start moving around on-court.
If impact protection is your thing then you’ll want to look at an Under Armour model that utilizes Micro G. However, if you’re in the market for something with adequate court feel then these may be for you on new jordans 2018.
Materials – Other than the traction, the materials are my favorite part of the shoe. Under Armour has introduced Threadborne into its material arsenal and it’s pretty awesome so far. High tensile threads are used throughout the lateral side of the shoe and provide you with a comfortable fit without sacrificing any support.
anaFoam makes a return to the Curry line and it’s as awesome as it ever was. It’ll mold to your foot with each wear and ends up feeling like a custom fit in no time. I only wish there was more of it.
Fuse is the last material utilized on the Curry 3 and it’s strategically placed in high-wear areas. It does what you’d expect fuse to do, and luckily it does so while being out of the way.
Fit – The Curry 3 fit me perfectly true to size, but there have been varying reports from multiple buyers that have claimed it fits small, while some even claim it fit long. When this is the case then we always recommend that you try on the shoe prior to purchasing, if that’s an option.
Lockdown on the shoe is solid throughout. The slight asymmetrical lacing system provides the midfoot with a wonderfully secure feel. Meanwhile, the heel feels great with the added padding implemented throughout the rear and tongue.
Support – Plenty of solid support features are used throughout the Curry 3. The exaggerated midsole sculpts into the heel counter while true carbon fiber wings are in place for additional security. Your ankle isn’t going anywhere in these guys so long as you’re wearing your proper size. There is an outrigger in place, but the shoe sits a little high so I would’ve liked to have had the midsole cup that area just a bit better, but it isn’t bad as is. There is also a true carbon fiber shank for torsion support. The entire shoe sits atop a nice flat base for stability. As long as the shoe fits you properly then you shouldn’t have any issues with support.
Overall – Much like the Curry 1 and 2, the Curry 3 is a great shoe on-court. These are my least favorite in terms of cushion — much too firm for me — but speedy guards will likely enjoy their time in these.
As mentioned above when referencing the Kobe Mentality; the Curry line from Under Armour is pretty similar to the Nike Kobe signature line in that the overall performance has been pretty consistent thus far. When you purchase a Kobe model you usually know what the shoe will offer you on-court — the same can be said for the Curry line. Thus, the Curry 3 receives good marks in all categories.
If you’re a fan of the Curry 1 and 2 then you’ll likely love the 3 and curry 4.

Nike PG 1 Reviews
That means that by the time the Nike PG2 drops next year it may be launching in purple and yellow. But before we get ahead of ourselves though, it’s time find out if the first model in the series carries on the tradition of fantastic affordable signature models from Nike.
Hover over the dots for a breakdown of how the Nike PG1 performs on-court.
Traction – The Nike PG 1 features an interesting pattern that will serve you well on-court. This particular version of the shoe features translucent rubber, and while it’s better than what Nike Basketball has put out in the past, it still isn’t the best option. Why does Nike insist on using clear rubber? It’s mostly to showcase the technology within the shoe. However, upcoming colorways of the PG1 feature solid rubber — what I’d recommend over the translucent options — while highlighting the cushion within the midsole by changing the color of the rubber in that particular section. I believe that is the best route and I’m surprised Nike hasn’t done it sooner with so many complaints about the lack of tackiness its translucent rubber offers.
The good news is that the pattern here really helps the rubber compound out and dust doesn’t stick to the pattern much. A quick wipe every so often will do the outsole good, and I’m almost positive that the solid rubber options will far exceed this version on-court.
Cushion – Forefoot bottom loaded Zoom Air is what is offered in the PG1. This setup is for those that want a more responsive ride for greater reaction speed. You won’t sink into the cushion and you won’t feel it bounce back as you would if it were directly underfoot, but it gets the job done for the most part. At the heel it’s just Phylon so nothing special there. Some may feel the setup is a bit lackluster if they’re expecting an abundant amount of cushion, but if you are more into court feel then this will prove to be a worthy setup.
Materials – This is one of the best material options we’ve had from Nike Basketball Shoes in a long time. It offers a little bit of everything, but not in a way that would make the shoe feel awkward or cluttered with tons of gimmicky materials.
The forefoot is free feeling with the open mesh and it’s protected by a layer of fuse in the high wear areas. This is great for players that stay on their toes and do not enjoy breaking in shoes. Meanwhile, the rear panel, on this colorway, is made of nubuck and it feels like the good ‘ol days when nubucks and leathers were being used to construct a sneaker. The overall build feels good, looks good, and plays well. Can’t really ask for much more than that. Materials and fit on the Nike PG 1 are my favorite aspects of the sneaker. Speaking of fit…
Fit – The PG 1 fits true to size. However, they are very snug — just the way I like it. The overall fit reminds me a bit of the Nike Kryie 3 White Green — one of the best fitting shoes I’ve ever worn — especially at the forefoot. And that’s before I even adjusted the strap. If you’re a wide footer then you may want to go up 1/2 size as the one-piece construction doesn’t offer much stretch once they’re on your foot.
The PG1 isn’t perfect, but Nike deserves any success that comes with Paul George’s first signature model because the shoe is that good. It’s a great aesthetic design, is releasing in attractive colorways, and—most importantly—performs on a level that far exceeds its relatively low price tag. For $110, it’s hard to go wrong. Its cushioning and stability are top-notch, making it my favorite Nike of the season at any price.

The Adidas Dame 4 Deconstructed Report

One of my favorite basketball shoes of 2017 is the Dame 4. It took the attributes that worked really well from the Dame 2 and 3 and carried them over to the 4 while reducing the bulk. It shows the lines refinement and fluid transition from one model to the next. Evolution, baby. Evolution!
As mentioned in the Dame 4 performance review, the Bounce midsole felt lower than any of the previous iterations — which you can see here. You still ride inside of the midsole, but the bulk has been trimmed down. So, you receive support and containment from the midsole in key areas rather than the entire thing. That’s what made the midsole of the Dame 3 look so chunky; practically the entire top line rode above your foot wheres in the Dame 4 it’s much more precise.
Cheap insole — standard adidas practice nowadays. If you ask those that have been wearing adidas models for the past 10 years what aspect the shoes have declined in it would be the insole. Yes, you can swap the insole out for your own — which is recommended to maximize comfort and fit — but the Three Stripes used to provide thick PU insoles that were heavenly.
I can only imagine the comfort Bounce would offer coupled with those old PU insoles. Maybe we’ll get an insole upgrade from adidas eventually. For the time being, the standard insole wasn’t horrible, but it’s cheap and sticks out as the glaring overlooked item in an otherwise perfect package.
Strobel board, standard in all footwear. Some shoes add an additional foam layer for extra comfort, something the Dame 4 could have used with the slimmed down and firmed up Bounce. Not a deal breaker by any means, just something to note.
The torsional plate is interesting. I just reviewed a runner from Asics that featured a beefed up version of this. If you missed that video you can catch it here. I had wondered how something like what Asics offered would feel on-court, and while this is a much smaller version, it’s still fairly similar and offered ample torsional support.
The forefoot is very thin. Bounce offered just enough cushion to make this a well balanced ride between court feel and protection.
Meanwhile, the heel rides a bit higher. You can feel more of the bounce that Bounce offers here mostly due to its thickness and the holes placed throughout. These holes allow your weight and pressure to force the compression of the midsole more than it would without them. While you “squish” the foam down it’ll expand into the cored out sections and then bounce back. (This is what Nike should have done with React. It would have made that cushion setup much more forgiving.)
This is a great shot of the Dame 3 and Dame 4 side by side. You can see the top layer of Bounce foam in the Dame 3 (above) that sits inside of the EVA midsole carrier. This makes me wonder if the Dame 4 midsole is completely Bounce or if Bounce was removed altogether — which I doubt — but it’s never out of the realm of possibilities. I think if adidas was caught removing tech from any of the lineup it has right now it could kill the momentum so, again, I doubt that’s what it did. It’s more likely that adidas firmed Bounce up and made it the entire midsole — which is how the shoe felt while playing in them.
Here are the layers of the upper. This is a cool image that shows you each component within the upper. The main structure is the exterior layer while the middle lining and third layer of padding protect your foot from the more structured material.
This view allows you to see what your foot sees. If it had eyes, of course.
In between the structured outer layer and padded interior are the lace cables, much like Nike’s Flywire — except these cables were much stronger.
I had wondered if the heel tab was connected to one of the lace cables when I first grabbed the Dame 4 but I couldn’t tighten any of the laces tight enough to move the pull tab. It’s nice to see that they are in fact connected. I just couldn’t notice a difference once on-foot.
This is the outsole. Nothing to see here, other than it looks really cool with all those teeth at the heel. It’s very thin as well so wearing for outdoor hooping is something that you’ll do at your own risk while knowing it won’t be the most durable.
That takes care of the breakdown on the adidas Dame 4 deconstruction. Another great job by the folks over at FastPass and it’s always awesome to learn everything you can about what your money buys you at newjordans2018.com

Would you like fowler's exclusive mocha aj3 and wolf grey aj1

This Week recommend contains a pair of Air Jordan 1s mocha and a pair of Air Jordan 3s fitknit, both of which flaunt special features that make them truly exclusive.
First one ,Air Jordan 3 Mocha 2018 for sale , It may not be an OG colorway, but there’s no doubt that many of us got plenty of love for the Air Jordan 3 Mocha. The last time Jordan Brand dropped the shoe in this colorway was way back in 2001, now it looks like the shoe it going to be making its long awaited return sometime during Summer ’18.
The original pair was constructed out of leather and came in a clean White, Chrome and Dark Mocha color scheme, the shoe consists of a White upper accented by the Mocha hits on the Elephant print overlays, Jumpman, eyelets and part of the outsole. Minimal hits of Chrome can be seen on the bottom eyelets. Although no pictures of the 2018 version have leaked
Next one, Air Jordan 1 Flyknit Wolf Grey , The Air Jordan 1 Flyknit will release in a few color options during Fall 2017. One of those releases will be the Air Jordan 1 Flyknit ‘Wolf Grey’ which is scheduled to release in November.
This Air Jordan 1 features a Wolf Grey, Gum Yellow, White and Golden Harvest color combination. Highlighted with Nike’s Flyknit technology which is done in Grey. Following we have Golden Harvest which lands on the Nike Swoosh and White across the midsole. Finishing the look is Gum on the outsole.
The Air Jordan 3 Mocha and aj 1 Flyknit Wolf Grey drops on November 11 for $115 at newjordans2018.com , and select retailers worldwide

Nike Kobe 9 Elite Performance test

Traction – The best traction I’ve ever had has come from two shoes… the Air Jordan XX8 and the Air Penny 5. I can now add the Nike Kobe 9 Elite to that list. In fact, It’d be tied with the Air Jordan XX8 for that #1 spot. Yeah… its that freaking good. It must be a combination of the pattern itself and the thin rubber. You receive such a natural feeling when maneuvering that its almost as if you can feel the floor beneath your toes. Outdoor players will want to stay away from these as that thin rubber will likely wear out very quickly. How quickly? Wait here while I go grab my sneaker wear and tear calculator…
Cushion – These feature the same system as the Kobe 11 . If you enjoyed the full length Lunarlon midsole then you’ll be pretty pleased here. If you bought any of the other Kobe 8 models that featured different cushion setups and foams then you can easily swap them out for a different/ custom ride. The greatest part is that you can use the LeBron 11 Lunarlon/ Zoom Air midsole in these bad boys so if low profile isn’t quite your thing then all you have to do is swap them out with the LeBron midsole and you’re good to go.
Material – Flyknit, Fuse and some really sweet looking Carbon Fiber panels are the main materials used. Flyknit is abundant throughout and backed by a very thin TPU/ Fuse for some additional structure and support. Why would they use Flyknit if they were going to use Fuse? I don’t know… why would they use Engineered Mesh if they were just going to use Fuse? Obviously basketball and running have two different styles of movement. For added security the thin layer of Fuse was put in place to ensure the structural integrity isn’t compromised during play.
Fit – As mentioned in their First Impression, there is a bit of dead space within the toe but I still would recommend going true to size. Length wise, everything fits fine, there just seems to be a bit of extra volume in these that I personally prefer to not have. LeBron would probably love how they fit whereas I prefer the snug fit from the LeBron 11. Speaking of the LeBron 14 for sale… you can use that midsole that I went over in the cushion section to help add a slight lift within the shoe thus taking up the dead space within. Were they horribly sloppy without the LeBron midsole? Not at all, quite the opposite… I just like how it feels when the shoe is touching my foot… makes me feel more secure.
Lockdown is great throughout the shoe, especially in the heel… no, not because they are really high cut. Its because the Flyknit in that area fits like a sock so you have something that really hugs and contains without limiting any restriction. A high that plays like a low. I do feel the collar height is unnecessary as I achieve perfect lockdown from the third to last eyelet but for those that wish to enable their mental placebo… these will work well for that.
Ventilation – Definitely not their strong suit. The tongue and toebox perforations are the only true points of ventilation. Its nothing horrible but its noteworthy for those that wish to have something a little more breathable.
Support – Yes,they are ridiculously high… no, that’s not where their support comes from. Their fit, however, keeps your foot in place along the midfoot and heel which is exactly what helps support the foot upon movements. No shifting or sliding around within the shoe at all and the Carbon Fiber heel panels help ensure that no slipping will occur upon lateral movements. You’ll be able to play the way you want to while being very well protected from a support standpoint.
What about the lack of shank plate? That was easier for me to describe visually so I go over that in the video above.
Overall – I love playing in the Nike Kobe 9 Elite. They offer everything I personally want and need. Excellent traction, great cushion, nice materials with a supportive yet mobile fit and support for lateral movements. If you happen to want or need more cushion then that is an option, so long as you own a pair of LeBron 11’s. I would have loved to have seen these in a lower cut. A high top would have still been fine… just not this high since that’s just extra material that doesn’t need to be there. However, If you are able to get your hands on a pair then I highly recommend them. Last year the Air Jordan XX8 was my top shoe of the year ever since their February launch… history has found a way to repeat itself on newjordans2018.com

Nike HyperRev 2017 peformance test

Nike HyperRev? Great shoe, super comfortable, full-length Zoom cushioning. Nike HyperRev 2015? Super court feel, killer traction and fit, heel and forefoot Zoom cushioning. Nike HyperRev 2016?… Space-age looks, heel and forefoot Zoom cushioning, killer traction. See a pattern here? The Nike HyperRev line has been known for traction and Zoom cushioning. This year, a name change brings more than just a different box label; the Nike Zoom Rev 17 shows drastic differences in almost all areas. Some are good, some bad, but only one way to find out which is which. Read on true believers…
Tricky, tricky traction. The gum bottoms seemed to stick perfectly in warmups and on lateral moves they stayed in complete contact with the floor, holding on defense and pushing off to change directions. However, on straight-line starts and stops, the traction was less than stellar. The shoe didn’t slip every time, only on really heavy, hard changes — such as running full speed on offense and the other team gets a steal, so you stop and head back on defense hard — then the stop was slow. But slight jab steps or fake cuts, when you are just trying to get a little motion? The Rev was on.
Here is the problem, though: it didn’t happen every time. Much like the Air Jordan 13 , it happened just enough to make me wonder what the shoe would do, which is never a good thing. This has to be the wavy outsole coupled with the flat herringbone — peak that traction pattern and the grip would have possibly been all-time.
The cushioning may have been the most surprising part of the Rev 17. The forefoot is a bottom-loaded full area Zoom unit and it can actually be felt, continuing the Rev legacy of forefoot response. This isn’t unlocked, but the compression and spring-back feels great while playing — no delay in motion, no bottoming out on landings, and lateral movements are steady and stable.
The heel is just Phylon, but honestly, you can’t really tell. It compresses perfectly while playing and is stable on landings if you happen to be a little off on a rebound. Don’t let the lack of Zoom affect your opinion of performance, it still works well; it just may not last as long since most Nike foams break down before the internal Zoom does. Until then, enjoy a smooth, low ride with great response and impact protection.
Another detail of the shoe that affects cushioning is the wavy outsole. The idea is very much like the Zig series from Reebok, only not as dramatic. The midsole waves compress on impact, allowing the sole to flatten and rebound, providing a “crash pad” effect. This smooths transition (in theory) and absorbs energy. It can be felt when playing, and at first it distracted me a little, but after a couple of trips up and down the feeling became secondary.
Although the upper looks like the Nike Kyrie 3 , it ain’t. Made up of a soft mesh with thick foam backing, the Rev 17 is flexible and comfortable from the start. The mesh is almost running shoe comfy, which was a complete surprise with the recent history of Nike putting nylon backing and stiffening up its team shoes (for…durability? shape? general pain?).
There are some fused areas placed in the high wear zones like the toebox and lace holes but those are practical applications that improve the shoe. The ankle collar is thin everywhere except the last inch of height. There you meet a thick, rolled padding that is almost adidas Geofit-like. The collar wraps up tight and holds the shoe from up and down sliding while playing. The tongue is more of the same; it’s thickly padded and wraps nicely around the front of the foot. Overall, a very ’90s design as far as padding and looks, and it works.
BAM! Fit is dead-on. The magical thing about mesh, when it isn’t backed by hard nylon or fused over, is that it fits and feels great on-foot. The mesh on the Rev 17 is technically a textile, according to Nike.com (although the site has been known to make mistakes), but it is very much like the original Hyperfuse — only soft, which makes it form fitting and little to no break-in time.
The forefoot was wrapped like a second skin, even with a little space at the end (my normal .5 inch between my toe and the shoe). The lacing system is easily adjustable and pulls the upper around the foot in all areas, so there is no slipping or sliding inside the shoe. Normal to a little wide feet should be perfect. For really wide-footers, beware; a try-on in store will help you out.
The ankle collar talked about in the Fit section works to grab and hold your heel while that lacing system pulls the shoe up and around, pulling your foot down into the heel counter. The padding on the back of the mesh works to take up any dead space without feeling super-constrictive. Wide, old-school laces don’t apply too much pressure, except for that next to last hole right at the ankle. I felt a little pressure there but it was easily remedied by a little loosening. No compromise on fit because of it, and the extra comfort was needed. Honestly, this may be the fit of the year.
Support comes from two things: fit and the midsole. The fit we talked about, but when a shoe has little to no movement then your ankle is more likely to stay upright — and your feet will love you. The heel counter is just a fused area, on the outside; inside the heel there is a solid plastic counter that rides just below the painful height — no achilles rubbing, but you still feel secure.
The midsole is your biggest help here, as it wraps up around the outside of your foot and keeps you centered over the footbed. Hard cuts and lateral movements were solid and quick — I could push off the outside of my foot like a starting block and get into my next move with no delay. Again, wide-footers, this is where you may have some problems, as the Phylon wraps snugly up and around and doesn’t have much give. The laces pull you into the midsole tight and keep your foot and shoe combo feeling like one unit that is connected and ready.
We at newjordans2018.com were worried when we saw the initial images that flaunted visible forefoot Zoom and the wavy outsole. Then we saw the tech specs and got more worried because it was only forefoot Zoom and the upper looked like a step back as far as materials. Well, on-foot, all of those initial tech specs and ideas were confirmed, except one: the shoe doesn’t suck — far from it.
Although the Zoom Rev 17 is still a step behind the 2016 (and 2015), it is an extremely solid option for someone looking for quickness, forefoot cushioning while still riding low, and a great fit. If you need extra support or rock a wide foot, you may want to try these on first.
I’m not sure what else Nike can strip out of the Rev line and still make it work, but I hope we don’t find out – the Hyperrev line had been a favorite of ours for the last 4 years. If Nike is smart, they will keep the idea of an actual high-performing Team shoe at the front of the line.

Under Armour Curry 4 ‘Warriors’ Pefromance review

The Under Armour Curry 4 feels like the true successor to the Curry 2.
YOU CAN FIND THE UA CURRY 4 AVAILABLE AT hoopjordan.com STARTING OCTOBER 27.
Traction – Herringbone is missing from the Curry line for the very first time, and while we love our herringbone, it wasn’t actually missed. The spiral pattern put in place offers multi-directional coverage for any move performed at any time. Linear coverage is fantastic and lateral coverage is handled very well too.
When dust is present the tackiness of the rubber compound used (on translucent outsole options) attracts dust like a magnet. Wiping will be very necessary if you happen to play on a poorly maintained court, but when you’re not wiping things are still able to stick until you have the time to clear things out. One of the courts I play on feels slick even after its been cleaned — it likely needs to be refinished — and the Curry 4 Warriors for sale was still able to hold its own.
With the translucent playing so well on some terrible courts it makes me wonder how much more awesome solid rubber versions of the outsole will perform. If you aren’t using herringbone, use this. This was awesome.
Cushion – Tech specs for the Curry 4 were released after I had recorded the video performance review. However, we still didn’t learn much about the cushion. All that we have been told is that UA is incorporating a proprietary foam compound for responsiveness underfoot. Whether or not this foam is Charged, a new form of Micro G, or something else entirely is still up in the air.
However, I do know how the cushion felt underfoot and the best word I can use to describe it is minimal. Not quite Kyrie minimal, but minimal enough to allow for court feel and some minor impact protection. You can always swap out the insole for some additional coverage (I was fine with the stock insole) but this isn’t the shoe for people looking for cushioning. Much like the Curry models of the past, these are all about control, court feel, and stability. If these are attributes you require out of your shoes then you’re going to love how these play. Again, if you’re looking for something with a ton of cushion then these simply weren’t meant for you.
What I like most about the Curry 4 low warriors yellow for sale midsole tooling is that it offers a minimal setup and the shoe owns it. The Curry 3 was super firm and thick for no reason. You rode high off the floor without the benefit of having a well-cushioned ride. That wound up making the 3 feel heavy and clunky underfoot. It was stable, but you can achieve greater stability by bringing yourself down to the floor — that will make you feel lighter on your feet and quicker.
This was not the case with the Curry 4 because what you see is what you get. I feel the perfect setup for these would have been this exact midsole setup with the addition of a Micro G insole; luckily, I still have a few of those stashed away from older UA models. That combination gives you a little more feedback from the foam insole while retaining all of the attributes the Curry 4 offers.
Materials – Threadborne looks to have been a one and done type of material from the Curry line because we now have a modern knit along the upper. Sitting atop the knit is a synthetic leather overlay that adds a little bit of reinforcement to the minimally structured shoe.
So far, this setup has proven to be effective on-court while remaining durable. The synthetic breaks in very nicely and mimics leather in a way that I hadn’t expected. Once the knitted upper breaks in and conforms to your foot you end up with a shoe that feels like it was molded around your foot shape — not just some generic last.
Fit – Going true to size is crucial because the upper is very minimalistic. The entire shoe feels like its suffocating your feet when you first put them on but the break-in process does wonders for the fit.
Side note: I keep reading on other forums that players wear a shoe one time and decide that the shoe is not for them, noting complaints about material stiffness. Shoes often require break-in time. I’m not sure why consumers nowadays are unwilling to break in shoes. The shoes were not built around their foot shape so why would they feel like they were after a single wear for two hours? Leather shoes never felt perfect straight out of the box. Fuse-based shoes required tons of breaking in before feeling nice.
Many consumers have become lazy and impatient. Hopefully, things change for the better, where consumers are well versed on what products offer and why those offerings may or may not work for them rather than just going for something and being pissed that it wasn’t perfect from the start. End rant.
Now, if you choose to go up half size on the Curry 4 because you have wide feet and wish to not break-in your shoe then you will compromise the fit and overall support. If you do this you may injure yourself because you’ve made it so the shoe’s design no longer works as intended. Not every shoe was made for every person. Find a shoe that was made for you, or break in one, and you’ll be surprised at how awesome it is.
Lockdown on the Curry 4 was excellent. The entire shoe is a sock, a very tight sock. You ride inside portions of the footbed (midsole) and once you lace up you’re locked in. Being low to the ground also helps with the minimal upper — everything here feels like it had a lot of thought put into it and if it’s here, there’s for a reason. Having this upper on the Curry 3s tooling would have been disastrous because your foot would sit on top of that midsole rather than in it, and I don’t think this upper wouldn’t have been able to handle all types of lateral movements on its own.
To sum things up: go true to size. Break in the shoe if it’s a little snug at first and you’ll thank yourself later.
Support – Despite being a minimal shoe, the support is solid. The overall support doesn’t rely on the upper, other than the fit, but more so on the way everything works together. The way your foot rests inside the shoe, the way the midsole is sculpted in the rear and lateral forefoot — all of it works very well together. Everything feels very anatomical and I like it a lot.
If I were to enhance anything it would have been the internal heel counter. I would have liked it a little bigger and covering more area. The way it’s implemented currently wasn’t a deal breaker because I love playing in the shoe, but it’s the one thing I feel could have been improved upon. Otherwise, the way the outsole sits on the floor, moves with the upper, and moves with the wearer’s foot feels effortless on  new jordans 2018.
Overall – The Curry 4 feels like it should have come after the Curry 2. It provides a better fit, greater stability, and more control. These are all things the Curry 2 had going for it and it feels like these attributes roll over into the Curry 4 a bit more seamlessly than it had in the 3.
If Under Armour can continue its basketball line with this type of performance then it will have hit a nice stride moving forward. Not only do I love the Curry 4, but now I’m really excited for the Curry 5.

adidas Crazy Explosive Performance Reviews

adidas has seen a fundamental change in design and performance over the last three years, and it all starts with two words: Boost and Primeknit. What would a shoe with both feel like on a basketball court? Luckily, we already know because the word is out and the adidas Crazy Explosive is a top shoe for 2016. What is one more opinion when we already know the tale of the tape? Hopefully you’ll learn something if you are still undecided, so read on…
TRACTION – Who knew coral would make good grips? That is what adidas is calling the pattern, and it works on any indoor court surface. Not exactly biting, more of a smooth grip and release, making coming out of stops smooth and quick. Where the Rose 7 is a dig in, hold, and push off, the Explosive is more long stride and transition. Durability was not in the blueprint, however, as the rubber began peeling off the edges within about three jumpers’ time — okay, not that quick, but definitely sooner than wanted. Outdoor asphalt or rough concrete will eat these like Krispy Kreme — one quick bite.
CUSHIONING – Boost. That’s all.
Kidding, kind of. Boost has been a little different since it hit courts two years ago; it’s too unstable to pack like the runners unless there is a caging system. If the instability is cut down, the cushion properties are cut down also. A fine line to walk, but the Crazy Explosive gets it right. The heel is packed thick with pellets but the lateral side is caged in a polyurethane to keep the Boost from expanding too far out. This accomplishes two missions: first, it keeps the shoe from tipping out, and second, the Boost stays underfoot for quicker response. The forefoot is encased also, but as thin as the Boost is this may have been more for containment and design. Either way, impact was NUH-UH while response into the next step was easy and smooth with very little lag or sinking feeling in the forefoot.
There have been some “opinions” floating that the Boost is not as responsive or “dead” in some pairs. Speaking for this reviewed pair, there is no issue at all with response or impact protection straight out of the box. From the first day until now, 3 almost 3 months later, the Explosive is responsive and cushioned without feeling too soggy and mushy.
MATERIALS – It honestly gets no better if you need or want a fabric/woven upper. The Primeknit here is flexible and soft but reinforced in high stress areas with a tighter weave. No fishing line disguised as support wire, just woven upper — almost. The parts of the shoe that don’t have the brighter threads (the infrared color) have a nylon backing material behind the Primeknit for a little extra support (the mudguard basically). Those areas are responsible for keeping the foot over the footbed, but that goes into the Support category, coming later.
The Crazy Explosive also features a full length GeoFit inner bootie to form-fit the CE to the foot. For those not familiar, GeoFit is a system of strategically placed pads around the ankle and foot to secure the fit comfortably. First seen on the Rose 1 in basketball (at least by name), the pads aren’t thick but dense and keep pressure away.
FIT – Speaking of Fit, here we go: while the adidas dame 4 seemed to fit most people a half size small, and the Crazy Light Boost 2016 fit a half to full size too big, the Crazy Explosive is just right — no doubt thanks to the inner padding, but the wider toe box and feel overall makes the CE more accommodating to different shapes without changing sizes. Being wider, it would almost make sense for the CE to feel clunky, but the form-fitting ‘Knit keeps the shoe flexing easily with no fight of the foot, so even though the fit looks wide, it moves right with your grooves. The ankle and heel are locked in with the combo of the Geofit and the Achilles wrap around the ankle, so even without a really solid heel counter, there is no movement at all in the heel. Best fitting adidas shoe ever? Yeah, exactly.
SUPPORT – Primeknit can’t be supportive, right? Because it’s too soft, won’t hold up or contain the foot? Nope. Nuh-uh. Wrong. Like we covered in the materials section, the knit is reinforced in the high stress areas with a nylon back and a tighter weave, so stretch and pull in those areas is minimal. The huge infinity shank under the midfoot (under the whole foot, really) keeps the arch from arching the wrong way. It also helps with transition, keeping running smooth without being too mushy and slow, but also lets the Crazy Explosive bend in the right spots.
The Boost is caged in the forefoot and heel to help with this category specifically. Boost is completely unstable by itself — its foam balls made to rebound off of each other. The cages allow the Boost to compress, to a point, and hold the Boost in shape to keep the shoe from rolling over. This cage also keeps compression from completely bottoming out and pushes the Boost back into shape for quicker moves. If the new jordans 2018 was allowed to expand outward with no limits, it would take time to recover and slow down the athletes. See, cages are good.
The heel is without a solid counter but the wide base and fantastic fit keep the foot from going over except in extreme cases.
OVERALL – Best adidas shoe ever? Some are saying it, but this reviewer still prefers the Rose 7 (and the Supernatural Creator, but good luck finding those). The Crazy Explosive is definitely on the list of top shoes of 2016 (which is coming soon), and to ruin the list, it is top 5. Perfect materials on the upper, almost perfect cushioning, fit is dead on, and traction is solid on any court. The main thing to hold the CE back is the durability of the outsole – it peels from indoor use after a few wears, so making it through practices and a full season of basketball with one pair may be asking too much.
If you can afford it, and with recent price drops to around the $110 level it becomes an even better value, the Crazy Explosive has everything you could ever want in a shoe, and excels in the pieces, making the whole a great, GREAT shoe. The revival continues for Three Stripes because performance and aesthetics together make for a good time. Blow it up on newjordans2018.com
