New Nike Zoom KD 9 Performance Text

Yeah, this is late. Yeah, the shoe has been out for three months. Yeah, the Nike Zoom KD 9 has already been reviewed by everybody. Sorry, but when a shoe is this good it deserves all the praise it can get. Yeah, I just ruined the review for those of you wondering about the final overall opinion. Who cares — read up and enjoy…
kd9 traction
TRACTION – For this review, two different shoes were used (the reason for why this lagged) in order to test two outsole options: the translucent option featured on the ‘Gold Medal’ colorway and the solid outsole of the original ‘USA’ colorway. On clean floors, both provided some of the best traction on the market — grippy, sticky, durable indoors, and doesn’t hold much dust due to the honeycomb cells being wide open. On semi- to really dirty courts the translucent stuck but had to be wiped frequently. The solid was good, no matter what nasty, grimy courts they were tried on. Outdoors? The solid will last a little longer, but probably not much, and once you wear through that rubber you are playing on Zoom bags. From a cushion standpoint, that’s great, but for traction, Zoom bags suck.
kd9 cushion
CUSHIONING – Thank you, Leo Chang, or whoever decided to use REAL ZOOM in this year’s Nike shoes. When given Zoom bags like these in the Nike HyperRev 2017 and the Hyperdunk 2016 all is right in the little court in my mind. This is the bouncy, responsive, energy returning Zoom that was supposed to be; there are no Phylon-encased quarter bags or not-really-there dime bags (Kyrie 2, looking at you) — just pure, unadulterated fun bags. Some have said in other reviews that the bags had a lag time, that lateral response was a little slower due to the softness of the bags. Nah, not really. Up and down the court is so smooth, running off cuts and screens is easy, and staying in front on defense was not a problem.
This setup is way more flexible than previous Max Zoom units and the bag didn’t leave feet hurting or tired from overworking to flex the midsole. And the separated units in the forefoot are magical; the flexpoint sits just at the foot/toe joint to roll into steps and jumps. Dang perfect.
kd9 materials
MATERIALS – Look!!! Nike put Flyknit on a basketball shoe!!! Oh, the Kobe series already has it? No, it doesn’t, at least not like this. True knit is flexible, comfy, and requires no break-in time. The KD 9 completes the trifecta, but by a nose — it only has the knit in the forefoot and mid foot. No hot spots, no rough edges, and surprisingly, it keeps the foot on the footbed. The tighter overlay cross-pattern provides the hold by keeping the lateral stretch to a minimum. It isn’t as solid as a fuse or synthetic upper but slipping around in the shoe was never a problem while playing.
The heel is a mesh/fuse material which is nothing new, but it gets the job done. One question: with the solid internal/external heel counter, which does a great job in stability, why not go Flyknit all the way? Maybe on the  Nike KD 10 ?
FIT – Ahhhh, now we get to the “problem” area. This is, by far, the most debated shoe, as far as sizing is concerned, in 2016. When wearing the ‘USA’ pair in my true size of 10.5, I almost pulled my shoulder out of socket getting them on. I don’t think I have wide feet (no Shrek in the building) but the collar would not let me in. But if you keep working you’ll eventually get it in (so. many. jokes.). The 10.5 would have probably worked, but an 11 felt way better on the piggies.
A note: I do like about a thumbnail width at the end of the toes for some comfort space. Once on, and with that little extra room, magic happened. You don’t even need the lace loops, just yank and go (again, jokes). The heel has extra padding just below the topline of the ankle collar and the placement cuts slip completely off. The midfoot area is a little tight where the mesh meets the knit, and it does not stretch, so if you’ve got the fat feet you are in trouble. The forefoot Flyknit wraps perfectly and believe it or not, keeps the foot over the footbed on just about every move.
SUPPORT – Basically a sock with a sole, so support structures are not at the front of the design ideas here, although the fit helps. There is an internal heel counter under that KD logo that does a good job holding the heel in even though the lacing system stops low on the ankle. The base of the shoe is wide, especially for a KD shoe, so the stability side to side is on.
The Phylon midsole is sculpted under the arch for a little stiffness there and the Zoom Max is cut away in that area to keep that sinking feeling away from that area. For someone with foot problems, and looking at the KD7 and 8, the support on the 9 is surprisingly light, although KD did say his shoes are designed for the now, not what may happen, or to prevent something later from injuring.
OVERALL – Best. KD. EVER. Seriously. Besides a little less support than some need, there are no problems with this shoe. Traction — excellent. Cushioning — beyond excellent. Materials — the best Nike has to offer. See a pattern? Actually, this is the best Nike shoe in years.
Hyperbole? Exaggeration? Maybe, but the KD 9 just shows what the Swoosh can still do when it wants to — make killer performers with comfort that look okay off-court (in a few years this may be a killer casual retro). If you want the best Nike has to offer, look no further: the KD 9 is all you need to know. http://www.kd10sale.com/

AIR JORDAN 6 RETRO PERFORMANCE REVIEW

The Air Jordan 6 doesn’t exactly boast a specific traction pattern or surface & they don’t look to be overly impressive either, however, if kept clean they are actually very good at keeping your foot planted on the floor no matter what you were doing.
This was noted on a previous Performance Teaser but if you can keep the clear sections free of debris then your experience will be a pleasant one. I personally use a traction mat but you can easily bring a lint roller or a roll of duct tape with you to quickly remove debris from the sole… a good old fashioned hand wipe is also adequate so long as you are consistent with it.
Cushion – This is just as it has been with the Air Jordan 3 & 4, AJ5 is a bit better, so prepare yourself for minimal cushion underfoot. The Polyurethane is dense and the Air Units are embedded within so you won’t receive a comfortable ride but the impact is being absorbed a little.
An easy solution to any cushion issue is an insole swap. There are plenty to choose from and can be catered to your specific needs. I opted to use the SofSole insole – not for cushion – and I will explain more a bit further down.
Material – With this particular shoe there are a variety of material options available depending on the colorway chosen. The reason I went with the Air Jordan 6 Carmine For Sale colorway is due to the dual material layers placed along the upper which provided me with proper fit & support where I needed – leather sections – and maintained flexibility where I needed – mostly at the forefoot with the nubuck sections. Overall durability is pretty nice as well given that these are a newer Retro product and they were able to withstand heavy beatings on-court.
Fit – The overall fit is decent as is… nothing too spectacular. This was mostly due to the dead space inside the shoe since they have very little padding with the exception of the collar & heel. Going down to a size 8.5 versus my usual size 9 would have helped a bit but the length could have been an issue and caused toe jamming… which hurts like hell if you’ve never experienced it before.
In the Cushion section I mentioned the insole swap… the fit was the reason why I chose to replace the insole with a thicker one. The added height was able to lift my foot up enough to allow the materials to properly function which then provided me with a great overall fit and lockdown once fully laced.
Ventilation – Quite possibly the most well ventilated Air Jordan model and kd 10 sale within the entire lineup. Plenty of perforations are in place and they aren’t blocked or lined with excess materials hindering the air flow.
Support – Not much support is found other than with the fit itself. Materials will help with this so you need to choose wisely if you wanted to play in a pair. Like I mentioned above, if you want some material support and flexibility along the upper then this type of setup would work as far as materials are concerned. If you need more support than I would go with leather upper and for less support a nubuck or suede upper.
Overall – Not a bad shoe – in my opinion – but not the best either. It’s a shoe that offers many great attributes while falling short on others… like most shoes. If you require adequate traction (if outsoles are kept clean), durability & ventilation then the Air Jordan 6 Carmine For Sale may be a good option for you. Their lack of cushion and inferior fit can easily be remedied with a simple insole swap which then makes these a very well rounded performer on-court go to kd10sale.com

The Nike KD Trey 5 V deconstructed there

Looks like the team over at Fastpass is at it again, and this time, the saw was taken to the Nike KD Trey 5 V
The takedown model draws some inspiration from the KD 10’s lacing system and forefoot flex groove, but apart from that, everything is different — for better or worse. Also, the tooling is almost identical to that of the Nike Zoom Live, with some very minute changes. (You can find more information regarding the KD Trey 5 V here.)
The KD Trey 5 V has a pretty small Zoom unit in the forefoot that is bottom-loaded. Like most of the takedown models from Nike, there is nothing in the heel, so nothing out of the ordinary there.
What is interesting to note is the thickness of the Zoom unit, however. The KD Trey 5V’s Zoom unit is 7.11mm thick and 35.28mm wide. Compare that to the Nike Zoom Shoes Live’s 8.18mm and 39.89mm, and you can see that the KD Trey has a little less bang for the buck.
There’s no word on price or when these are set to release Stateside but after seeing these deconstructed, are you going to cop or drop? See anything interesting that caught your eye? Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
As always, keep it locked to kd10sale.com for any upcoming news and reviews on the KD Trey 5 V.

You can find the Nike LeBron Soldier 11 now at kd10sale.com

The Nike LeBron Soldier 11 performance review is here. How do they stack up to last year’s Soldier 10? Only one way to find out.

Nike LeBron Soldier 11 Performance Review traction

Traction – One of the easiest things to get right on a shoe, yet so many seem to get it wrong. While the traction on the Nike LeBron Soldier 11 isn’t bad, it isn’t as good as it should be. It was only bad in one single spot under the ball of the foot. For whatever reason, when I’d plant in that section while changing direction or curling around a screen I’d slip a bit, causing a delay in my movement, which in turn caused me to second guess even making the same move again.

Initially, I thought it was just that I was too light on my feet, but then I witnessed LeBron slip in the same exact manner I would while he made a move in the Finals. It isn’t a complete slip, it’s more like a very small slip. However, its enough to make you go “whoa, that was a close one” while it happens to you during gameplay.

Will playing in a solid rubber-soled version of the Zoom shoes change the performance? I’m not sure. Surprisingly enough, the translucent outsole on the Soldier 11 performed well overall. It was just that single spot on the outsole that wasn’t that great. This might be a case where the pattern has failed in that area rather than blaming it solely on the rubber compound this time around.

Nike LeBron Soldier 11 Performance Review cushion

Cushion – This is the same cushion setup as last years Soldier 10 but the Zoom Air units are implemented much better this time around. The Phylon is still really lightweight and fairly unforgiving, as it was on the Soldier 10, but the Zoom units protrude from the outsole a bit which makes them feel more lively underfoot. You won’t feel a super bouncy sensation but you’ll feel the units compress a bit more than last season’s model.

You can also see from the image above (courtesy of FastPass) that the Zoom Air isn’t packed into place this year; there is some space between the foam carrier and the Zoom bags themselves. This allows them to compress and move a bit more, furthering the traditional Zoom Air feeling that most shoes lack today.

Size wise, the Zoom Air units are pretty damn big (8mm thick in the forefoot and 14mm thick in the heel) which means impact protection is solid overall. In terms of player type, this setup is versatile enough for every player. There is enough court feel for smaller quicker players and plenty of impact protection for larger players. As a smaller guy myself, this year’s Soldier 11 was much more enjoyable from a cushion standpoint than the Soldier 10.

Materials – There are two versions of the Nike LeBron Soldier 11, each coming in at a different price point. If you wanted to keep the price as reasonable as possible then this $130 version of the shoe will do the trick. It features a one-piece mesh build with a ballistic nylon mudguard. This offers the feeling of wearing a knit/woven upper but with a bit more strength.

The premium version of the Soldier 11 replaces the ballistic nylon with a more luxurious nubuck mudguard. This gives a similar feel but adds a little more weight to the equation. However, it’s a great blend of new and old. Leathers and nubucks are used less and less as time goes on so its nice to see a shoe successfully integrate this type of material while keeping the overall build modern. Unfortunately, this premium offering will cost you $10 more because that build retails for $140. Sales and markdowns are a staple in today’s market, thankfully, so if you’re patient enough then you’ll be able to grab the premium version (if that is the one you’d prefer) for less than retail soon enough.

Both options are durable so I wouldn’t let that be a factor in your decision making. The main difference between the two options, other than their price, will be weight. Nylon is the lighter of the two. Personally, weight isn’t a huge issue so either one would work just fine.

Cheap Nike LeBron Soldier 11 Performance Review fit

Fit – The LeBron Soldier 11 fits true to size. Yes, the one piece build is back, and the shoes are a little hard to get on, but they’re not as difficult as the Soldier 10 — and they fit a bit more securely. Removing the three large straps and replacing them with four smaller straps allows you to isolate each section of the shoe a bit better so you can tighten the upper up where you need. I needed to tighten them up mostly in the forefoot area as they have a bit of volume above the toe. The forefoot strap helped lock down my foot so I was happy it was there, and once the materials are broke in a bit things started to feel secure.

Wide footers, you’ll want to try the shoe on before buying. Unfortunately, one piece builds are not exactly a one size fits all type of thing.

Lockdown on the shoe was good. Better than the Soldier 10 good? Yes. I never ran into issues with the Soldier 10s upper containment, but as stated above, the isolation of each section of the upper from the four straps really worked better than last year’s version.

Nike LeBron Soldier 11 Performance Review support

Support – Another area that has been slightly modified and improved upon since the Soldier 10 is the support. The platform on which the Soldier 11 sits is much nicer because it’s wider than the last model — something that was definitely needed because those protruding Zoom units feel a little wobbly underfoot when you first take them for a spin.

Something I found interesting is that the shoe offers the traditional forefoot outrigger in addition to a midfoot outrigger. With the outsole shaped similarly to an actual foot, coupled with wobbly Zoom units underneath, this additional outrigger helped keep me stable while in motion. Additionally, the midsole sculpt of the Soldier 11 is much better than that of the Soldier 10. The heel and forefoot areas wrap up onto the foot ensuring you remain on top of the footbed; this also diminishes the risk of your foot rolling over the footbed. I wish this was implemented much more than it is in performance basketball footwear.

Basic support features are in place as well. A torsional V-plate at the midfoot is embedded within the midsole at the midfoot and there is a rubber external heel counter for added support at the heel.

Is the shoe’s fit supportive enough without laces being involved? Yes, at least for me. Heavier players might require a bit more for this area but LeBron is a pretty big guy and the straps and overall fit seemed to work for him nicely.

Nike LeBron Soldier 11 Performance Review overall

Overall – The Nike LeBron Soldier 11 is a much better shoe than the Soldier 10, overall. While traction could still use a little bit of work, the cushion is immensely better than the last go-around. Suitable for every position on the floor, the LeBron Soldier line has shifted from LBJ’s playoff model of choice to LBJ’s version of the Hyperdunk within his own line of branded footwear. http://www.kd10sale.com

It’s remarkable that designers were able to create a shoe supportive enough for LeBron yet have it weigh just 13 ounces. That is lighter than most current guard shoes — and lighter than last year’s Soldier 10, while improving upon the fit and support. If the hiccup in the traction is improved with solid rubber versions of the model then I can see these being a great option for players than want a little bit of everything with their on-court shoes. Although, this would probably be a non-issue had Nike just gone simple and used herringbone.

If you were considering grabbing a pair of the Nike LeBron Soldier 11 for your upcoming season or rec league, I hope this performance review helps. We appreciate you tuning in.

NIKE LEBRON SOLDIER 11 PREMIUM PERFORMANCE REVIEW

When it comes to on-court performance, LeBron’s Soldier line holds its own when compared to his signature series. Does Nike’s latest entry, the Nike LeBron Soldier 11, continue the line’s solid performance or does it concede the throne to the King’s latest signature model, the LeBron 14, as the go to LBJ sneaker on the hardwood? Only one way to find out….
Traction: Using a triangular pattern on the entire outsole, the traction on the LeBron Soldier 11 is surprisingly solid but not very consistent. The lateral forefoot is where the outsole is most responsive. You’re going to feel very comfortable doing step-backs, jab-steps, and v-cuts. However, on in-n-outs, crossovers, or any side to side move where you don’t have near perfect footwork the medial portion of the outsole starts to slip just a little bit. It isn’t a major problem but it does keep the Soldier 11 from reaching “elite” territory. As the shoe sits right now it’s a pretty solid option on virtually every court condition.
As far as outsole durability goes, the triangular nubs that Nike used on the LeBron Soldier 11 aren’t very durable — but the nubs featured in the center of the outsole are more durable than the ones on the edges. This should help extend the Soldier 11’s life outdoors but there are better options available (namely, the Dame 3 or Zoom Rev 2017).
Cushion: The Nike LeBron Soldier 11 Prototype features Zoom Air in both the heel and forefoot. While it performs admirably, there really should be no excuse for not having full-length Zoom in every non-budget Nike Basketball model, especially when a name like LeBron James is attached to a sneaker.
The heel unit Nike used here is about 5.8mm bigger than the forefoot unit but you aren’t really going to know the difference. Both units provide about the same amount of responsiveness and impact protection. You’re going to feel the Zoom on your hard ladings and you’re going to feel the Zoom turn those hard landings into explosive take offs, but it just isn’t as smooth or explosive as it should be.
Full-length Zoom just makes everything better and when applied properly, it’s one of the most versatile setups money can buy. What’s used here is a decent setup that provides a good experience — it just would have been so much better with full-length Zoom.
Materials: Before we get into the materials, this review will be on the “premium” version of the LeBron Soldier 11. It features a suede overlay instead of the nylon mesh overlay that is featured in the “non-premium” colorways and trust me, you’re going to want to get a premium colorway.
I’m sure that the nylon mesh overlay that’s used on the “non-premium” colorways performs well, it’s just that the suede overlay is too nice to pass up and it actually reminds me of the way things used to be on sneakers. The more you use these the softer the materials will get and eventually they’ll end up conforming around your foot for a comfortable and enjoyable ride.
The rest of the upper is made of a soft mesh material that isn’t quite as comfortable as the suede portion of the upper but it does gives the Soldier 11s a nice modern touch. Overall, the materials Nike used here are extremely comfortable. While some may find them to be too soft, I thoroughly enjoyed what the Soldier 11s had to offer because they got more and more comfortable every time I strapped them up.
Fit: Like I mentioned in the pervious category, the materials on the LeBron Soldier 11 get softer the more you used them, almost to a fault. Straight out of the box you’re going to find that these shoes have an extremely snug but comfortable fit that really snaps to your foot. As time goes on the materials will soften up and eventually you will lose that air-tight fit and end up with a pillowy experience that feels just a bit soft.
After about 5-7 hours of use I found myself trying to tighten up the fit with the top strap but no matter how hard I pulled, the fit wasn’t the same as it was on day one. The good news is that the length of the Soldier 11s is true to size. There’s a little wiggle room in the toebox area that helps prevent to slams into the front of the shoe, despite the lack of lockdown in the ankle area. If you’re a wide footer, we recommend you try these on as the LeBron Soldier 11’s base isn’t very wide, especially in the forefoot. While the materials will conform around any foot shape, wide-footers may feel a little unstable due to the extremely narrow mid-foot.
Support: This is the first time that I’ve ever felt like a LeBron sneaker needed more support. Usually LBJ’s sneakers have too many support features and end up feeling either bulky or overpowering. This is to no fault of LeBron or Nike — they’re only trying to design a sneaker for someone who is a 6’8” demigod that requires way more support in his shoes than we mere mortals can handle — but the Soldier 11s seem to be holding back in this category. Besides a standard external heel cup and slight lateral outrigger on the outsole there aren’t that many support features incorporated into the design.
The relatively high collar is deceiving since there isn’t much structure in the collar area and it actually dips pretty low to provide a pseudo-low top feel, but what hurts the Soldier 11’s support system the most is the extremely narrow mid-foot. This narrow mid-foot will give you the feeling that you’re only standing on your heels and toes (if you’re a forefoot heavy player you’re most likely not going to notice this issue) but for the rest of us, this makes the Soldier 11s feel a little wobbly, especially on side to side movements. All in all, this has to be one of the most un-supportive LeBron models to date, but it isn’t terrible by any means. It’s the definition of a sixth man waiting: it does just enough, but it leaves you wanting more.
Overall: The Nike LeBron Soldier 11 is a very versatile sneaker. Any guard or slashing forward will find something that they like. It could be the responsive but slightly explosive cushion setup or it could be the soft comfortable materials. Whatever it may be, the Soldier 11s definitely favor quick and explosive players who are forefoot-heavy. If you’re a slow big who needs a ton of support and impact protection or a wide-footer who needs a lot of stability, we recommend you look somewhere else since the Soldier 11 is lacking for both.
For $130, or $140 for a premium pair, the Nike LeBron Soldier 11 is a solid option both indoors and on the black top, yet it isn’t quite “elite.” Had Nike went all out on the cushioning and made it a little more stable, it would have easily been a top-tier performer. However, as the shoe sits right now it falls just short of a championship — by three games, to be exact. http://www.kd10sale.com

Nike Kobe A.D. Performance Review

The Nike Kobe AD is Kobe Bryant’s twelfth signature shoe. It is the first sneaker to release after Kobe’s retirement from the NBA.KOBE AD full name is After Death. “Down below, the Kobe A.D. is equipped with a translucent midsole sidewall, exposing a Lunarlon midsole and a Zoom Air unit in the heel for maximum responsiveness, comfort and cushioning with your every move.” – Nike. The Nike official site said .
Now we get it
The out box was changed which have not ID card .
Nike Kobe AD Flip the switch colorway is attraction by people , with black and gold Swoosh.
The Lunarlon midsole which clear color.
The toe of shoes have code :Rebirth and Evolution.
1,Material
Textile mesh is used along the upper. It’s lightweight, strong and durable. It’s also very supportive for a textile
It is more lighter .But the white is not easy keep clean .
Kobe AD used a large volume Zoom unit in the heel. However, it’s just an engraved piece of TPU that Nike was able to replicate the look of Zoom on .The Zoom Air unit within the rock hard “Lunarlon” midsole.
DeMar DeRozan wear the Kobe shoes in the season game .
Here are some picture as below :
2, Cushioning :
The Lunarlon midsole is not good that I expect .You get some court feel , The cushion of the shoe doesn’t offer impact protection, you do get some court feel but it’s not even a responsive or comfortable setup.
3, Supporting :
As we know the low shoes seem not very good for supporting .But Kobe’s shoes always did a wonderful job of providing proper support for that specific low profile guard that wears a low top.
The A.D. has an outrigger with  TPU cage wrapped around the shoe’s heel and midfoot area and the whole outsole is flat
Here are some disadvantage that I played two hours .
1 ,The grip is not very well in the clear court . Compare with last version , it is seems more weak .
2, The white colorway is not easy to keep clean .
3, The midsole is a little stiff , I can feel not snug after playing long time
The setup is very lackluster and required more break-in time than one expects to put up with nowadays.
Overall , Kobe AD Sneakers is worth to buy , the white color is great ,though it is not easy keep clean , the cushioning is not bad

Nike Basketball And Kevin Durant “Make a Champion" and New KD 10 Release

Love him, hate him, or just don’t care, no one can deny one thing: Kevin Durant is a champion.
Yeah, he went to the team that beat him. Yeah, the Warriors were already loaded. And yeah, he only averaged over 30 points per game and won Finals MVP. The move worked for him and Warriors fans everywhere. The trophy was the culmination of a 10-year career spent with Seattle (remember them?), Oklahoma City, and now, Golden State. What has been one constant in his game? Nike.
Ever since KD was a kid running up the neighborhood hills, playing summer leagues in the DMV/Baltimore area, leading the nation in scoring and rebounding at the University of Texas (Hook ‘Em!!), he has worn the Swoosh on his feet — and this Finals were no different. Debuting the Nike Zoom KD10 in the Western Conference Finals against the Spurs, Kevin won nine out of ten games in the KD10 while averaging 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The ‘BeTrue’ moniker celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and aims at supporting all athletes by encouraging equality and respect for everyone. The ‘BeTrue’ KD10s have been spotted on the feet of WNBA stars like LA Sparks Champion Essence Carson and Connecticut Sun superstar Jonquel Jones.
This Nike Zoom KD10 features an all black Flyknit upper and yellow lettering on the tongue and the Swoosh. The translucent outsole beautifully maintains the eight colors of the original 1978 Pride Flag, much like the Nike Air VaporMax ‘BeTrue’ did.
There is no word if or when the Nike KD 10 ‘BeTrue’ will release, or if they will be PEs only. It would probably be in the Swoosh’s best interest to release this build, not only the performance aspect, but for the message it relays: equality.
Stay tuned for more updated information on all your sneaker related n
Nike Basketball Shoes has released a short video titled “Making a Champion” chronicling that journey and now we get to bring it to you. Enjoy.  http://www.kd10sale.com

NIKE KD 9 ELITE – PERFORMANCE REVIEW

Today we’re going to be doing a performance review on the Kevin Durant’s latest signature model, the Nike KD 9 Elite. This model re-works the Flyknit upper but also brings back the same cushioning (Max Zoom Air) and traction from the original KD 9’s, but is it a performance upgrade? Let’s find out…
Traction: The overall traction experience is pretty consistent, despite this colorway using a translucent rubber outsole. It really doesn’t matter what condition the floor you play on is in because the honeycomb pattern that Nike has reused from the original KD 9 is going to keep you covered in all directions. If your floor is extremely dusty all you’ve got to do is wipe a few times and then you’re good to go.
As far as outsole durability goes, the rubber compound Nike uses isn’t very durable and the outsole started to show signs of wear after four or five hours of use. So while these won’t be your first option for outdoor ball, the KD 9 Elite’s traction is a top-tier performer in just about every other situation so if you need some consistency in your life, feel free to pick these up.
Cushion: Here’s another category where Nike didn’t change anything from the original KD 9 — and we’re perfectly okay with that. The full-length articulated Max Zoom Air setup Nike uses here is one of the most versatile cushion setups on the market today because every player of any play style can find something they like about it. Explosiveness? Check. Responsiveness? Check. Court feel? Check. Impact protection? Check. Sure, there may be other cushion setups out there that excel and surpass the KD 9 Elite in each of these categories but the KD 9 might just be the only one that provides an above average experience in all of them.
Materials: This is where the Elite version of the KD 9 starts to switch things up from its original version. Nike re-worked the Flyknit upper to make it a little more true to what we see on popular Sneaker running models (like the Flyknit Racer) with a more pliable and forgiving knit construction. The midfoot area is where the Flyknit material really starts to come into its own as it’s a fully breathable zone that is as true as Flyknit is going to get. However, the toebox uses a tighter knit and feels a little stiffer than the rest of the upper; but when you compare it to the toebox on the Nike Kobe AD Purple , the KD 9 Elite feels far superior and quite frankly, a lot more comfortable.
The heel panel also differentiates from the original KD 9’s with a neoprene sock-like construction that is honestly more of an aesthetic look than a performance feature; it’s hard to notice during use and hardly effects the overall feel of the KD 9 Elite.
Fit: At this point in the review you’re probably thinking, “Wow, the KD 9 Elite is perfect, this is just too good to be true”. Yes, it is too good to be true because this is where the KD 9 Elite starts to fall off. Listen carefully as it really is just this simple: if you don’t have a long, narrow foot like Durant himself, you’re going to have some issues with the fit. I had to go down half a size to compensate for the extremely long fit and by doing so the width became uncomfortably narrow. This forced me to loosen up the lacing, but by doing so the support and lockdown were negatively affected.
Overall, I just found the fit to be too specific and not versatile enough to cater to a wide range of foot shapes and sizes, so again, unless you’ve got KD-like feet, you may want to pass on the KD 9 elite.

NIKE LEBRON 13 PERFORMANCE REVIEW

NIKE LEBRON 13 PERFORMANCE REVIEW
LeBron James signed a lifetime deal with Nike, cementing his already stable position as Nike’s current top endorser. That means it’s no surprise that Nike would use a person in such a position to help lead new innovative technology. But at times, Nike is arguably even better at marketing that innovation, than the innovation itself. Sometimes it takes a try or two to get that technology right. The Nike LeBron Soldier 11 doesn’t necessarily introduce any new technology, but it implements recent innovations like Hyperposite and hexagonal Zoom better than any shoe before it.
Traction – The traction used on the LeBron 13 is something that I was initially unimpressed with – visually – but they ended up working really well on-court. The hex pods found throughout the outsole feature large bars that act like herringbone, and are implemented in multiple directions for coverage no matter how or where you’re moving. I was unable to play on a really dusty court so I can’t tell you how dust affects their performance this time around, but on clean and very lightly dusty courts they had zero issues and were very consistent.
Cushion – The setup here is similar to the Nike LeBron 12, but they feel much better than the 12’s did. I still couldn’t really feel the two smaller Hex-Zoom units located on the lateral section of the foot, but the met unit and heel unit were amazing. Those two zones cover a large amount of space, plus they’re both 13mm thick…that’s a pretty damn thick Zoom unit. You can feel the bounce and responsiveness with every stride, and that is something that was truly lacking with the 12.
The old saying holds true: if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
Something that was greatly improved due to the new setup was transition. Heel to toe strides are no longer clunky and instead really smooth. The LeBron 12’s had an awesome Zoom unit located in the heel but was met with a hard Posite-covered midsole upon impact. Now all you have is lightweight Phylon and Zoom aiding you through your stride and it makes the shoe feel as light as they actually are.
Materials – The upper is comprised of a one-piece booty with plenty of additional overlays that offer both support where you need it and flexibility where you want it. At their base there is the sock booty, followed by Dynamic Flywire. This provides you with a comfortable fit and minor lockdown support. Then you have a lot of TPU or Fuse in zoned areas. These areas offer zero stretch so your fit isn’t going to be compromised while making hard cuts or changes in direction — this is one thing the upper does better than the MegaFuse/ Mesh build found on last year’s LeBron 12. These TPU layers feel pretty awkward upon trying them on, and all I can say is that you really won’t be satisfied with the upper until you take them on-court and play in them.
The last two layers are mesh and HyperPosite. Basically, the mesh is there to add a final layer without adding too much weight to the shoe while the Posite is there to protect the mesh. Nike states that the HyperPosite provides “Zoned impact protection” but that’s pretty vague. So I’m just assuming it’s really there to protect the mesh — much like the MegaFuse was to protect the mesh on the 12’s. The Posite overlays will not alleviate the pressure from impact when someone steps or lands on you. Trust me…being a smaller player, I get stepped on. A lot.
Fit --I feel they fit true to size, but there is a tiny bit of room length wise in the toe. I don’t feel going down 1/2 size was necessary for me – as I love how my pair fits – but trying them on to determine the perfect size for you is always best.
Those of you with high arches will definitely want to try them on first because the Fuse/ Posite layer that rests on top of the midfoot — like I mentioned before — has zero stretch. So that area might have a negative affect on the fit for some people. However, lockdown due to the Fuse/ Posite sections was fantastic. Again, they feel very awkward when you try them on, and you have to break them in (slightly) each time you go out and play. But once the materials are warmed up then you’re pretty much locked into the shoe and all you’ll have is a great on-court experience. Unless you’re having an off night, and let’s face it, we all have those from time to time.
The only area that I can really say I disliked was the collar height. Not because I prefer low tops, but because there were times it dug into my legs a bit. It wasn’t horrible or to the point where it rubbed the skin raw, but it wasn’t something I enjoyed either
Support – All of the aforementioned Nike KD 10 for sale , from their tooling to their fit, have a positive effect on their support. The 13’s sport a wide base that feels stable — even though there are a couple of large volume Zoom units in place — and the base is slightly wider than the upper so it cradles the foot really nicely (which aids in stability). The materials and fit all do their job with support as well. There are plenty of areas with flex and mobility, but zero stretch. So you’re able to maneuver on-court without feeling like you’re wearing a pair of Timberland’s.
Overall – I didn’t like them when I first tried them on. Like, not even a little. However, they are really dope on-court kicks that perform really well. Traction and cushion were pretty beastly. The materials are something I personally liked more on last year’s model, but larger players will love that combination of flexibility/mobility and support. They’re ultra lightweight too, despite how bulky they look. Light enough to where a small Guard can still maneuver around the court perfectly fine.
As far as their price/ value. That is really your choice. Set up a budget and stick to it. Does a shoe’s performance really change just because of a higher or lower dollar value? No, not at all. If these would have released exactly as they are for $40 versus their $200 price tag; would their performance have changed in any way? Nope. There are great performance models out there and their retail prices range from dirt cheap to hell nah you crazy. So, if a shoe meets your on-court needs and they are within your budget grab a pair and enjoy them on-court. After all, that’s what they were made for.

AIR JORDAN ULTRA.FLY 2 PERFORMANCE REVIEW

You might remember the debut Jordan Ultra Fly as the head-turning almost alien-like model that an on-fire Jimmy Butler wore during the Bulls playoff push last season. This is the first Jordan Brand performance model I’ve bought in a long time that doesn’t make me feel like I was ripped off. Well, these and the Air Jordan XXXI Low. The Ultra.Fly 2 is a bit heavy with a suffocating fit, but if you give it enough playing time you’ll find that it performs well and breaks in very nicely.
Here we go :
Traction – I had a love/hate relationship with the traction. The pattern itself looks awesome, and it is — for the most part. However, dust collected quickly within the black portions of the outsole which resulted in an inconsistent feel at times. I’d be interested to see how much of a difference it would’ve made had the pattern been consistent throughout because the white sections gripped the floor without issue — dust or no dust. Again, it was mainly the black pods that needed regular on-court maintenance.
When things were gripping, the coverage was very close to being Hall of Fame level. When it wasn’t, it was frustrating. Outdoors, the outsole worked extremely well — a pleasant surprise. Will everyone experience what I experienced? I’m not sure. I can imagine the grip varying depending on the court condition; if you play on clean courts or outdoor surfaces then I wouldn’t worry too much. However, if your court needs to be refinished or is cleaned irregularly then you may be disappointed.
If I could have given the score half 6th Man and half Starting Five then I would have — I kept changing the score because the traction didn’t let me down regularly, which I feel is worthy of a Starting Five, but when it did let me down it was a huge let down.
Cushion – The Jordan Ultra.Fly 2 Blue uses heel and forefoot Zoom Air. Yes, a shoe from Jordan Brand that retails for $125 features heel and forefoot cushion. Whoever has been holding onto the budget with an iron fist was either fired or has finally come to their senses. Welcome back to being part of the equation as far as value is concerned, Jordan Brand. It’s about damn time.
The Ultra.Fly 2 starts off feeling a bit heavy feeling underfoot. This is due to the fairly dense Phylon midsole used here. Despite being on the dense side, the foam did feel like it had some rebound once broken-in. This then allowed me to feel the Zoom Air that was installed within the forefoot of the shoe quite a bit.
On top of that, the tooling is rounded ever so slightly which caused the tooling to flex a bit with weight added — furthering the feeling of the Zoom located in the forefoot. Kyrie 2 and 3 — I’m giving you the People’s Eyebrow right now.
The heel Zoom unit is a poor excuse for Zoom Air as it’s one of those quarter-sized Hex Zoom units. However, it’s better than having nothing at all. As you can see from the image above, provided by FastPass.cn, the Hex unit is on the thicker side so not all is lost. When enough force is applied you can feel it and its doing what it’s supposed to — absorbing impact.
Would it have been better had it been the same size heel unit that was used in the Kyrie 3? Definitely. I’m just happy that Jordan Brand seems to be moving in the right direction again. Unless the next few models from Jordan Brand don’t feature heel cushion — then we’ll just chalk this model up as a fluke.
Materials – The upper of the Ultra.Fly 2 is an engineered knit that feels amazing on-foot. However, this is a one-piece construction upper so some might not enjoy the overall fit, but we’ll get into that in a bit. The knit used here on the stretchy side so lateral containment and support would greatly suffer had the designers not placed a TPU overlay on most of the shoe.
TPU overlays are not really my thing, but there are times when it’s done in a way where you don’t feel like you’re trying to play basketball in a rain boot. This is one of those times. I felt like I was wearing a knitted shoe but with the reinforcement of an upper constructed of TPU; it was a very nice blend between the two and it feel pretty well balanced. The materials function well, and they’re durable — only furthering the shoe’s overall value at its $125 price point.
Fit – The Jordan Ultra.Fly 2 runs true to size, but being a one-piece upper, they are not going to please everyone. Wide footers should try the shoe on before buying as the fit is a bit suffocating initially. Actually, the fit is always suffocating, but you get used to it.
Padding is abundant within the upper which makes the shoe feel comfortable despite it’s tight grasp to your feet. Once laced up you really aren’t going anywhere and I feel it’s one of the shoe’s better features once you’re adjusted.
The eyelets run all the way down to the footbed of the Ultra.Fly 2; they grab ahold of your foot and act like steel cables while the top eyelet draws your ankle and heel into the shoe to ensure they stays locked at all times.
Support – The new yeezys 2017 features one would expect to be in place are all here and accounted for. Lateral outrigger? Check. Dynamic lacing system? Check. Internal heel counter? Check.
A couple of features that set the Jordan Ultra.Fly 2 apart from the rest are the way the upper is constructed, allowing motion while still retaining the ability to properly contain and support during lateral movements, and the sculpted midsole. It looks like it’s just aesthetic but the way the midsole swoops up along the lateral midfoot and medial heel ensures that you and the footbed are one. It cradled my feet at all times and did not allow me to ever feel like I about to be ejected off of the shoe’s platform.
Overall – I’m really hoping the Jordan Ultra.Fly 2 isn’t a fluke and that this is just the beginning of Jordan Brand coming back to its senses. You can no longer get away with reducing tech and hiking up the prices on performance footwear. Not when every other brand is releasing shoes for under $150 that feature full-length cushion in addition to all the standard bells and whistles.
The Jordan Ultra.Fly 2 takes everything the original was and threw it away. Now this is a basketball shoe.

Air Jordan 11 Retro Legend Blue performance reviews

The Columbia Legend Blue Air Jordan 11 Retro comes back for the first time since 2000/2001.Brad Hall continues to do what he does best as he reviews the Air Jordan XI Retro “Legend Blue.” Bringing his trademark deadpan humor to the obsessive world of sneaker culture.
The shoes are all white with little crystal blue of tongue , it is always follow the fashion .I dont know why a lot of people dislike the blue tint, but thats actually an original feature and it came out nice.
1,Material
Air Jordan XI have solid rubber traction pods located in the heel and forefoot.
The clear sections are nice and sticky straight out the box, which is good and bad depending on court conditions. However, I played on well-maintained courts in addition to debris ridden floors and the New Air Jordan 11 held up perfectly fine. Worst that happened was that I needed to wipe the outsole semi-often on dusty courts.
Patent leather and ballistic nylon mesh are used along the upper… oh, and a very small piece of cheap split grain leather is located at the heel. But anyway the material is well
The Carbon Fiber adds a lot of support along the entire base of the foot, not just the arch, and the overall fit provides you with the extra reassurance you’d want or need
2,Cushion
Using lightweight Phylon and full length Air unit in place, cushion is solid as well. While they aren’t as soft as the original or 2000/01 Retro releases, they are still leaps and bounds better than previous Air Jordan models. Impact absorption is available and consistent throughout while still maintaining decent court feel in the forefoot.
Overall , I always think that the heel of AJ11 is the best features which  flying embroidery ,23 number, it is perfection anyway .
